If I were you I'd complain to Peugeot UK by phone and if necessary in writing. Dealer's actions are not directly Peugeot UK's fault (unless they're Robins and Day who are owned by Peugeot) but they can affect the brand's reputation for good or bad and therefore they have a vested interest in...
Hi Jactac. Sorry to hear of your news - surely things have to get better soon!
Sadly this forum is a shadow of what it once was. Some moved to other cars and others, after the Wrapper saga, lost enthusiasm for the forum and moved to the Facebook group which is thriving. Like one or two others...
GSF Car Parts have these Led lights in stock. They are genuine but offer a modest saving over the dealer price. Renegade - there are two GSF branches in Dublin. Also many branches in England, Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland.
There were also many members who stopped contributing because the indefensible was being defended by the forum 'authorities'. When I joined this forum in 2012 it never less than extremely welcoming. Hopefully that will be so again.
Whilst I agree that the RCZ is not beyond criticism (far from...
Some people have got Mk1s with silver arches because that's all there was when they bought their's. They may also still be very happy with them and don't see the point in spending a large sum of money just to get a facelifted car irrespective of preferences. Anyone who could not cope with that...
As one of the 'older' members who stopped contributing to this forum for the reasons described by Kerry, I am seriously pleased that it should now be safe to return. Kaminski/Wrapper took all the pleasure out of it at the time he/they arrived on this forum and the way he wasn't dealt with...
I don't think I drive particularly gently but still got 30,000 out of my fronts and the rears now need replacing at 36,000 (original Contis). I've swapped to Michelins which are a little less harsh and noisey but it's too early to say how they're wearing.
The sensor is an electronic item which can malfunction but the dipstick is surely a physical check which cannot lie? Having said that it's not the easiest dipstick to read especially when the oil is clean.... I always do two checks to make absolutely sure I've got it right.
By the way you...
Steve, mine was replaced without argument when the car was around two years old because one light wasn't functioning. Argue that an LED strip is not a 'normal' bulb in that it's lifespan should be indefinite and therefore premature failure should be covered under warranty.
Mine has done 36k miles and I've used just over a litre for top ups during that whole time. Seems like mine's using a lot less than some others then?
Mind you, that's reminded me that its probably time I checked it again!
I would say that the slot in the adaptor should be less deep than the jacking point 'lip' so that the jacking 'lip' seats on the bottom of the slot and the surrounding area does not take the weight. It is after all the recommended jacking point and the adaptor is only used to keep the 'lip'...
You're very distrustful. Have you had a bad experience in the past?
As has been discussed in another thread you can get any garage to do the work as long as they do it properly and using either Peugeot genuine parts or ones of equivalent quality. However you won't then get a Peugeot dealer...
The parts don't even have to be genuine Peugeot - they just have to be of equivalent quality. I am in the independent aftermarket parts trade and know about this subject!
The extent of the spread of price within each of clean (£10,450 to £11,150 in my case), average and below categories surprised me. I guess that's to allow the dealer some flexibility in his negotiations. The valuation was a bit lower than I had hoped for but that's life!
ED, your post is unlikely to calm things down with those who are left on here. RCZash is a relative newcomer and is therefore presumably one of the people you are trying to keep onboard. Perhaps as Nathan suggested we should all back off now - including 'the Management'!
