    Battery change

This is what Bosch list for your (and my) car: They also state that a change of battery must be registered with the control unit (ECU) so changing it will not be a straightforward DIY job! However, surely it doesn't need replacing yet?

Which year and model have you got?

    New Toy!

Hi Saber, there were 77x RCZ R's registered in the UK at 31.03.14 so probably quite a few more by now. The figures which I have access to are always three or four months behind!

    Speedy Reg Cheap Number Plates

Dateless plates are those without a year indicator. Because Northern Irish plates all contained the letter Z there are plenty of RCZ plates to choose from for those so inclined.

    1st Service on the RCZ

It is quite a lot but they do more than change the oil (see the handbook). To cut costs you can shop around amongst Peugeot dealers or alternatively use an independent repairer. This doesn't invalidate your warranty as long as they do the job properly but the stamp in the book isn't as...

'Jukebox' Hard Drive Systems in Cars

I haven't got one in my current RCZ but I know some on here have and I did have one on my 407 Coupe. In my opinion this is another example of the world gone mad. See the following link about the musicians union suing car companies: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-28547853

New RCZ appears to be a definite!

I think you're all being a bit unfair. That's the way the industry is going eg. see the new 1.0 Ford Mondeo! If they shave 150kg off the weight of the car that 8bhp defecit will not be noticeable at all. Also a lighter car is generally a more nimble car so handling shouldn't be an issue...

New RCZ appears to be a definite!

I think I read somewhere that the new 308 is around 150kg lighter than the old one. I would guess that the same will apply to the new RCZ as it will be based on the new 308 (rather than the old one as at present).

New RCZ appears to be a definite!

How attractive it is in the RCZ will I guess depend on it's torque, refinement and general character. The difference between 148bhp and 156bhp isn't huge and as the new RCZ will likely be much lighter it may even be faster. However logically it will only be the entry level engine.

New RCZ appears to be a definite!

I've just noticed this on What Car's website: It must mean that a new model RCZ is a definite although hopefully more potent engines will also be offered!

    Standard recirculation valve

Re: Standard recirculation valve ? 200 bhp timbob, 'standard recirculation valve' isn't a term I recognise. Could you elaborate further on the part you think is faulty?

    HELP URGENT

Paul, don't make a hasty decision about the car. Whilst you are understandably upset at the moment the coil is probably a one off, simple and fairly cheap to replace once it's been diagnosed and the hotel related damage isn't really the car's fault. Stick with it for at least a bit longer.

    RCZ-R Gear knob

Is this thread going off in a slightly suspect direction or is it just my imagination? :eusa-think:

To buy or not to buy

Mine is a '61 plate 200THP. I bought it with 11k miles and it's now done 29k. There have been two visits to the dealer - one for a standard 2 year service and the other for 40mins while they replaced the rear LED light (one unit in the row had failed). I don't think that's too bad. :D

My Amber is up for sale already

Did they make the seat leather shiny or did you do that? Or is it that the photographs make them look shiny? Mine are still quite matt.

Which Brake Discs? Cheap or Expensive?

He's not in a hurry and they will be available soon - I need a few more weeks! The 200bhp ones will be Brembo and the 156/163bhp will be, until others have them available, Peugeot original (but at a lower price than Peugeot).

    Account is Suspended message ?

I grew up with imperial measurements for everything (including old money). During my lifetime most things I've happily swapped to metric (eg. money, measurements, weights (including my own), capacities etc.) but other things I stick with imperial eg. miles (for obvious reasons), personal height...

    Sorry for the downtime!

I wanted to email someone to find out what sin I had commited but not being able to get onto the site I couldn't find a relevant email address to use. How come everyone else did? Interesting how bereft we all were though!

    Account is Suspended message ?

I was also thinking through all my posts to try to identify the one that had caused such great offence! I presume we would be contacted via e-mail if we were to be suspended? (Not that I'm planning anything controversial....).
