From what friends have told me and what I've read, it seems to be all built in sat navs that are a nightmare. But, I really can not understand why!

Ditto, until Google revised (downgraded!) the navigation function about a month ago. Lost too many useful functions (e.g. petrol station and parking locations) and made the interface downright awkward to use while driving (e.g. flicking between current location and overall route view to see traffic hotspots ahead.) Shame, I used to love Google navigation.bobbythedog said:I was more than happy using Google Nav on my Galaxy S3 in the Civic. Never got me lost and always threw up a 'streetview' picture of you reached your destination (just to prove you were in the right place!) :wtf:
Not all Sygic uses TomTom maps under license and it's downloaded to your phone for offline use so you don't need a data signal or a large data plan. Free map updates, speed cameras, poi, 3D buildings where available.photojohn said:Give M8 Free SatNav a try on android phones. It's not bad at all but as with all app based navigation your at the whim of signal strength.
