Dangers in Jacking up RCZ

Although I bought the tool off Ron, I've only used it on the rear jacking points. The Peugeot mechanic told me not to
Use the front jacking points as they will collapse. The genuine Peugeot jack is not fit for purpose and neither are the jacking points.

When I get my tyres changed the guy does not use the sill points. I have reported this to VOSA and apparently mines a one off.

Peugeot are well aware of this and choose to ignore it. Just be wary and do not use the points

Yours was hardly an opinion. Just trolling !!

If you happen to read my post again you will see I was praising his post because it was a thorough, informative and well put together post which would be helpful to anyone who was wanting to do the same thing. He'd taken the time and effort to put the post together to share his knowledge.

Unlike some who don't add anything to any of the threads.

Ive just ordered the jacking adaptor from ron (much thanks) and wont be letting anyone jack the car without it, seeing as the pug dealership bent my front passenger side one on the last visit, I must add they are doing the repair free gratis

Anyway, once a troll always a troll. A leopard cannot change its spots. All your traits come flowing through, whoever you care to be today !!!!!!

I suggest you both either be civil or ignore each other. That would be the adult thing to do ;)

Can we keep this thread on track now please. It is a good informative thread and I dont want to see it ruined.

Im hoping a warning will not be necessary. Im sure you are both capable of the options I have provided.
If everyone got along, the world would be a better place, but we all have to accept that people are going to rub us the wrong way.

Thank you. I fully accept what you are saying.I may post fun stuff i may post serious stuff, but i reserve the right not be subjected to attacks by another forumite with what appears to be a personal agenda for whatever reason.
Hopefully this will be the last post on this matter.

Hardly an attack. You're a big boy and seem to give as good as you get. Please don't go running to Mummy every time someone bites you back.

I suggest you follow Abz's advice.

I have been back in touch with Peugeot UK HQ reference jacking up the vehicle.

Their response is that they are not able to give an exact location for location of an axle stand as any work to be carried out is by a garage.

I stated that in a few years when prices come down or when cars are out of warranty, some people will want to do work on their own cars, eg brakes, which would include making the car secure before they worked on it.

After going away to discuss with the technical team, called back to say If any work was carried out it would be the responsibility of that person, and that they are not able to produce pictures or documents to show positions but if people went to the dealerships they would be able to show where was suitable for jacking and axle stands.

I also stated that there was conflicting info from dealerships, ie not able to jack car up, can only be done on a 2 post lift etc and they would be interested in the dealerships who said this so they can provide the correct info across their network.

So if you know the dealerships let me know then I can pass it on.

Not the result I was trying to get but they seem reluctant to pass this back to PSA - including the collapsing jacking points.

So they wont give you the information, but if you tell them which dealers are conflicting, they will tell them how to do it? Bloody stupid.
