So update to an update regarding the strange groan.
I posted an update, but I can't find it now, where I did get it checked out at the dealers when it went in for its 3rd service. They checked it all (allegedly) and found no problems.
However, since then, I have had the occasional groan noise...
I have a manual, 200GT so I can't help with the auto questions, but as for the Solstice wheels, they are diamond cut round the edge, so to refurbish, you need somewhere that specialises in diamond cut wheels. (They have to go on a lathe of some sort & be re-cut).
I have been quoted £60-£100 per...
I already made enquiries about that one. They offered me far too little for mine & I can't justify to my OH spending the difference on a car that according to her "is the same as the one we've got" :brickwall:
I think you might be in for a bit of a disappointment. Mine is newer, Half the miles, better spec, & a dealer just offered me less than 11k for it.
Although, seeing as yours isn't due to be made for another 87 years it's difficult to place an accurate value on it :eusa-think: ;)...
The top bushes are subject to a "notice" from Peugeot UK, they will be replaced FOC if you take it to a dealer. The notice apparently stops short of a recall, so nobody will bother telling you, unless you actually report the problem.
I had exactly the same issue, and found out the above when I...
From reading on this forum, sadly, I don't think anyone has managed to rectify the problem by any tinkering, it's been a replacement thing I'm afraid. The replacement appears to be the modified part as fitted to the Mk2's, so once fitted it's sorted for good.
I also hear that most people have...
I think that his point was that he thought the donor battery had to have jump leads connected to the actual terminals, regardless of where they attached to the dead car.
The point Chris is making is that you only need the positive lead battery to battery, if it's a Z starting a Z, point C to...
So, Mk1 RCZ (2010-2012) did (does) have the timing issues, as I'm sure you have seen on this site. The Mk2 2013-on didn't have it, modified parts etc etc. Chances are, if you get one, it will have already had the part replaced, and that will be with the modified version fitted to the Mk2. It is...
The starting procedure in that case is.....
Park at the top of a reasonably steep hill, turn on ignition, engage 2nd gear, depress clutch & release handbrake. At @ 5-10 mph, release clutch, smile, & drive into the distance ;)
So, a few updates on my brothers car.
He had 2 attempted break-ins at his house, and the police said it was to steal the car keys.
So, he had all the alloys re-furbished and any paintwork chips etc made right, so it looked like a showroom model & went car hunting.
He said he'd had enough of...
