Tuning, Wheels & Knob Advice

Hi all,

I'm possibly looking at buying an auto gt face-lift in the next week or so but wondered if you guys could give me some help/guidance:

Tuning/remap - I've seen the plug and play tuning chip that increases bhp and torque. Bhp by approx 34 giving a total of just under 200, will this be noticeable on the auto as when I test drove an auto I did find it a bit sluggish. Don't get me wrong I don't expect it to be anywhere as quick as my xkr 4.2 Supercharged but would like some sort of go.

Wheels - I'm possibly looking at one with the solstice wheels. Are these easy enough to refurbish?

Knobs - I think the auto knob is an eyesore......can this be changed?

Thank you for reading.

I have a manual, 200GT so I can't help with the auto questions, but as for the Solstice wheels, they are diamond cut round the edge, so to refurbish, you need somewhere that specialises in diamond cut wheels. (They have to go on a lathe of some sort & be re-cut).

I have been quoted £60-£100 per corner, depending on amount of refurbishment required. Not a small cost if all four need a good look at, so something to bear in mind when negotiating a price. :eusa-think:

I know the manual gear knob is simply a push fit, so pull off & push on replacement, but I don't know if that is the case for the auto ?
