If my sabbatical turns out to be critical then you can have Pearl2 as I know that was the colour that you really wanted. Shame on Marcus insisting you stayed in England overnight, just to get an affordable deal on one. We all know that you'd have been in breach of your parole order.

I am (just) still here- well, actually now on hols in WALES, so I can fly the flag for opalescence while jactac is being snipped. But not much fun if nobody's listening now we are moved to non-RCZ related!!

It's a very poor signal here on an iphone so there's my excuse for crawling into a corner ....

Seriously, m8, all the best for Tuesday, your beautiful opal (and sheep) will be waiting.

The stranger has found his way out of the corner. Check on jactac friends whilst you're in the principality. Don't want just anybody taking advantage of them whist he awaits the call. Oh and check out the directions to the chapel too. I'm going to be short on time, by the time I get back from Rome so will be on a bit of a flyer. Don't wory unduly about us being kicked onto the sidelines as the view from here remains unchanged. Finally enjoy whatever it is you do in that foreign land

The good lady has spoken to "he who knows", apparently your little visit is of no consequence and there is no hope of you having to part with either, your awful opal or your cash. I know you are stood on the right cos it is my good self standing on your left. Big annual family BBQ day today so I must poodle off also.

So, how did it all go then?

Had a lot of things to do in readiness for our pilgrimage. But we are finally off tomorrow. Stopping overnight in the BIG city so as not to be late for our departure on Tuesday morning.

If you have anything you want to know or want me to ask (apart from the lottery numbers) I'll put your questions to him for you. As I do realise that as an Opal driver you clearly are incapable of asking the right questions for yourself. Or was it unable to see what was in front of your eyes?

Acquired my first stone chip, right down to the metal. Front edge of the bonnet :thumbdown:

So you didnt get that vinyl stone chip protection done ? to be honest i think it would of shown up too much on the paint work, you would definitely seen the edges of it.
you can buy it in small lengths and apply it yourself, i did it to the sils to prevent scuff marks from getting in and out.

So far So good with stone chips on my front end. so best to get off the subject now eh :eusa-whistle:

You have to drive it get get stone chips. Sitting on your driveway will not acquire any. Maybe that is were I am going wrong. I do drive my beauty and enjoy her performance. :thumbup:

You put me off having the paint protection film applied. You dropped into the discussion that the paintwork would remain un-chipped but the protective film would not fair so well and would not be repairable with removing and replacing. I saw no sense in spending £1K so that the next owner could have a un-chipped Pearl. Whilst I drove around with the protective film chipped.

My sabbatical is much needed after the few months that I have endured. I certainly need to be reinvigorated and for my faith to be reinforced. Pearl2 does her best for me but sometimes it requires the intervention of greater powers :thumbup:

I am still awaiting the initial consultation with my cardiologist so am a long way off getting the treatment required to reinstate my good health. I have only today decided to stop taking one of my drugs, as I blame it for the constant pain I have in my right arm since it was prescribed :thumbdown:

The vinyl protection would indeed take all the stone chips and as i said would probably end up looking worse than the paint work, at least you can polish or touch up paint, you cannot do either with vinyl protection. Its the next owner that would benefit when the vinyl was removed prior to selling.

Yeah, been out in the car a few times, gonna try and get to the meet in Coventry but i'm working all that weekend so i'm not holding my breath. :thumbdown:

When you pull up to the meet at Coventry dont be scared of the super bright white glow in the distance, it's not the big fella up stairs calling for you, it will just be some of the Opal's parked up taking in all the admiration. You better take some sunglass's if you want to get a close look, cos we dont want to damage your eyes with the fantastic white glare, thing is your eyes are obviously not that good anyway, just look out your living room window and see what colour car you've bought. :lol:

Dont forget to wear your C.R.A.P ( Creamy Ridiculous Awful Pearl ) t-shirts, and take some spares up with you, I'm sure you could sell a few to other members, AS DUSTERS. :lol:

I so want my Pearl2 to look her best on the day, but it really isn't possible. I will not get a chance to clean her. But I must go so I'm afraid it'll have to be a dirty Pearl2 that turns up at Coventry.

But I do say to my bestest that "I want to go out with a lady and to bed with a whore" so maybe just maybe a dirty Pearl will attract a lot of admiring looks! Certainly more that a clean Opel would anyway

It's looking very unlikely that i will get time off, i have one more chap i can ask to do the shift swaps but he's on hols until friday, in fact he's abroad until friday so i'm not holding my breath.
