Good point RCZoom, I have checked and it is as you say some residual voltage, and glad to report that it fades. Havent had any warning/errors coming up, my be it only occurs on the vision pack cars.
Hi guys, my rcz is coming in a week so im going to buy these DRL LEDs first. Some of the links no longer exist hence I would like to confirm if this is the right one.
I note on the website that there are 2 variations. Opposite pins vs Double filament and the one listed on the above ebay link is the double filament one. Am I right to assume the double filament bulb is the correct one ?
After looking at the pics posted in this thread I have to the conclusion that the bulbs are slightly on the blue side but they look awesome nonetheless !
LED bulbs are basically capacitors and store a charge. The reason they glow after power off is nothing to do with the car it is just the residual charge in the LED dissipating.
I have ordered a set of these as well. I have the Xenon lights and the standard bulb just looks so sickly!
If you do not have the vision pack, ie normal halogen bulbs, prepare for a colour difference ! Mine was rather obvious, so much so that i got stopped by local law enforcement for having "illegal modifications to light unit"
You lot have talked me into it. Have ordered a pair for my new Pearl. Won't bother putting them into this one, as she goes in September.
UPDATE
Had some time on my hands today, so have fitted them. First time I tried I removed the full beam bulb and thought "oh dear I've ordered the wrong one" Then I twigged and got the right one. Blimey makes the headlights look yellow. Not got vision pack on this one. So guessing they'll look better on the new one when it arrives. (with vision pack)
