So have i got this right , theres no pics on here showing LED 380/92 DLR's apart from Pauls :eusa-think:

I think i've ordered the wrong ones :thumbdown:

OK, lets deal with all the questions :-
The little bulb above the DRL is main beam, its a H1 bulb and you will struggle to get a decent (see the road) output from an LED, but you could use higher rated bulb.
The 92's I have in the DRL look a lot brighter in real use than the camera shows (as per a post in this thread) and as soon as its dusk you can almost drive on them.
My contact at the dealer, said when I sent him a picture, f*ck me that's bright.
They do NOT give a focused light (like headlamps do) but its BRIGHT !!! I have used a headlamp bulbs(H7) with Hi-White values and the DRL is still whiter than them !!
I have yet to do the fog lamps, but I worry they will not give projected light (like the normal bulbs do) but will be bright. Do I want to see where I am going in the fog or have bright lights..............
Number plate bulbs, I used Canbus 501's in the number plate, and they look great, but I do have one that plays about, I am blaming the bulb and getting another one.
Just out of interest which one plays up ? Mine is the nearside one.
I replaced the boot bulbs with the biggest LED 501's I could find and now I have a very bright boot.
My next is to swap the indicator bulbs in the front for 68's LED. As they are a non focused lamp they should work good, but we shall see.
Finally, no you have not ordered the wrong ones, there is out there a 120 SMD LED 380, but you would not be able to fit it in due to its size I don't think.

paul the led foglights do project a light a really strong beam you could drive at night with them and the sidelight on only on. they are rated at 35 watts each thats a lot,i have fitted led outside lights in compounds in a factory they where rated a 50 watts yes a lot brighter than a car foglamp but for an actual lumens output they where brighter than 250 watt halogen outside light with 50 times less power consumption,back to cars as i am the only one fit them to my car its only my opinion anyone can go on :thumbup: but each to their own as they say.i have no doubt the the 380/92 smds are just as bright as the 360/380 5 watts i have :thumbup:

1 the led fogs look great
2.they are just as functional as the standard h8 halogen bulbs.
3. i may get stopped by the police for having them on when there is no fog :shock: but they dont remotely resemble foglights in the first instance and look like real drls.

also my h7's phillips diamond vision do truely light the dark roads up, but in my type r they did not??a bad batch or is it the peugeots headlamp design is better i dont know,i will give the benefit of the doubt the rcz

Right, I may try them. It does depend a lot now on the reflector in headlamps, in the past it was just a bowl and the glass on the front did the "bend the light" bit, but now its all done with the reflector and therefore some makers will get it spot on and some may not.

I've been reading this thread with interest but may I just ask are these brighter lights legal? Its just that with the nights now drawing in much too quickly, there seems to be an alarming amount of cars with bright lights (blue effect as well as normal) that dazzle way more than they ever used too. I'm sure its not just me, surely other people must have experienced this too?

theses lights are road legal the 0ne's you question are more than likely hid self installation kits or the owner's have'nt lowered the dipped beam no member on this forum has this as far as i know??the dipped beam bulbs i have h7's are phillips diamond vision and designed as just a cosmetic upgrade rated at 5000k.the rcz dipped beam bulbs are rated at 4000k the higher the bulb tempreture = k= KELVINS The bluer the bulb is right up to 8500 kelvins at this tempreture they can blind drivers,in the not too distant future all car lights will led when manufacturing cost of led's drops as leds bulbs are far more efficient and give off a far better light if they are of a high quality that is?there are a lot of cheap and nasty led and hid products on the market

Thanks for the reply jassy. Thank's for clearing that up. It just seems to be every other car that comes towards you has lights that are really dazzling. I thought those hid lights were meant to cause less dazzle but I personally don't find that.

I was on the motorway this morning 6am still dark and a car came flying up behind me totally blinding me with its lights ( not on full beam ) Turns out it was a 61 plate Audi obviously factory fit ( I say factory fit because I'm sure no one would put a cheap HID kit on a brand new car )
Obviously we need to wear shades whilst driving at night

the xenons and audi drls are really bright if not the brightess on the road 1 of audi's strong points are their headlamp designs/running lights or bad points in your case mike :lol:

Thanks for the reply jassy. Thank's for clearing that up. It just seems to be every other car that comes towards you has lights that are really dazzling. I thought those hid lights were meant to cause less dazzle but I personally don't find that.

If you look at some plod forums (yes the plods have forums) some of the traffic plods hate these bulb upgrades and will give an on the spot fine & points without batting an eyelid. :law-policered:

Thanks for clearing this up Paul.
My replacement white LED 380/92's arrived today, i will fit them tomorrow, then i'm going for the Philips H7 diamond headlamp bulb.
Apparantly these two look a good match.
I'm not too bothered with the fog lights at the moment , but will probably end up doing the whole lot in time :crazy:

jactac i know the h7 diamond visions are not E marked simply because they project a bluish light on to the road,diamond vision aint blue they are mainly white with a touch of blue,there a lot of cheap and nasty blue bulbs out there which the boy racers put into there cars which give no light beam what so ever.at £40 for a pair your purchasing the best on the market and look far far better than the crap peugeot bulbs.have your ever heard of a french £25k=+ car not having xenon lights :thumbdown: as standard.

also the diamond visions look great on a white car as do the drls and the led fogs

Right, so some are them aren't road legal then. Mind you alot of the cars that I've seen are not boy racer type cars either. Some of them are newish cars too, of all marques.

phillips diamond vision will not dazzle any on coming traffic or from behind in the rear view mirror no more than an ordinary headlamp bulb not like some hid kit si would got this a top of the range canbus system but they are £170 i had diamond vision my civic for 2 years without any hassle they just look like standard fitted xenons and look factory fitted as they do in the rcz older cars with cheap blue bulbs in them are more likely to a pull with the 4x2's

Ok just recieved my WHITE DLR's, about time too !!!

But OMFG, how do you get the 380/92,s to fit, they are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long .

I've tried pushing the lamp lens forward but theres not enough play in it, i've also tried putting the bulb in first then trying to connect the socket to the back of the bulb, if anyone can do this then they are not human and must have 36 fingers on each hand.

i did think about just cutting a small bit of the plastic backing away but then came to my senses and though no way, not just for bloody bulbs.
So it's back to the drawing board or meet an alien down at my local looking for a job.

What exactly are you doing? Mine took under a minute to do both. On the RHS take the air intake off, pull the rubber backing off and twist the bulb holder to remove. Put the LED in the holder and slide it in and twist to lock.

Phew ok , just managed to get one side in, not an easy task, and the other side has the airbox behind the lamp

I have to say though i'm dissapointed with the 380/92, its not a direct bright light like Jassys 360/380 5 watt leds.
At night or dusk it will look good, but they are DLR's not night lights.

Also they are not the prettiest of things sitting in the lens when they are off.
I took two pics on a cloudy day, with the flash on and one without.
Only the drivers side has the new 380/92 fitted.

So what do you think compared to Jassys 360/380 5 watt ? (2nd pic), i personaly think jassys 360/380 5watts are far far better because they have a single brighter led right at the front to give a direct glare and then the 360 leds to widen the glare, but the 380/92's just give a cluster within the lens.
If you look at Pauls close up pic of his recently fitted 380/92's you will see what i mean.

So even though i have waited nearly 2 weeks for these to arrive they are going back to be exchanged for 380/360 5 watts.
