Are diamond visions road legal?

Bit of a grey area this............. :eusa-think: :eusa-think: but no, going strictly by the book reason being they throw a blue light.I would do the hid kit by the time you have purchased 2 sets of bulbs, diamomd vision then 100% extreme £75/£80 hid kit £140 :wtf:

Would they cause an MOT fail or would you switch back to normals beforehand?

I have the extreme vision and am happy with those, but they don't quite match the LED DRL's. wonder what the insurance company would do if you crashed with them in - non road legal lights and no payout?

It's worth noting that the Diamond Visions are not only not road legal but also utterly useless on dark wet tarmac or on icy or snowy roads. They look money but they're really not a year round light!

I can see it now - sorry mr Insurance man, I had my diamond vision's in and it was dark so couldn't see.

It'd be worth changing them over for the summer months but they are a pig to change and they'd rarely be on over the summer I suppose!

They are not that hard to change just a bit fiddly. However, I have reverted back to the OEM main beams cause those diamond visions were hopeless. Sure, they look white but they don't light up the road at all in any weather. 5 mins will replace each bulb - easy! I think I will get the extreme visions or osram night breakers come next pay check!!

I've got the diamond vision in at the moment but also got the Philips Xtreme vision to go in for the winter. Need to order some H1 Xtreme vision for they main beam so they all match. I've fitted the 60led from steve@ Rcz performance which look great and placed a order last night for the H8 fog from him too. I believe these are a bit of a pig to fit . Anybody got any tips about fitting the Fog light bulbs.

The Xtreme Visions are the best lights I've had for light coverage outside of Xenons. They're still quite yellow but they do illuminate a fantastic distance!

Ian you have to take the wheel off mate, then unclip just part of the the plastic wheel arch mate its very straight forward just un clip with a small screwdriver they pop out easily, then pop them back in they are plastic sprigots, also take out the 2 screws under the front bumper phillips screw heads, the bulb is easy to fit

That's what's worrying me. :-(

Maybe try with the wheel on full lock first :eusa-think: Sure it's been tried before without success but you never know!

Will do. Its worth a try.
It can be done without removing wheels as we did it but on lift though

Sent from my RCZ

I didnt take my wheel off either, just jacked it up as the wheel drops down giving enough room :)

it is still much easier to completely remove the wheel and remove the wheel as a whole, and we work more comfortably and ca not take much longer
