You say they diagnosed a misfire on one cylinder, what did they replace? The coil pack I’m guessing? If the HP fuel pump starts to fail it usually throws up a misfire on no 4 cylinder. Let us know how you get on.

There’s been a recent poll on the fb owners group about the fastest readings seen in the speedo all UK owners said that the digital speedo stopped at 158 mph whereas the Euro cars were equivalent to bang on the 155mph restricted limit. These are standard not remapped cars. :thumbup:

when the tensioner starts to fail that’s when you get the death rattle on start up, it’s when owners continue to run their cars with the rattle that catastrophic problems can happen.

Never changed one and I’ve heard people say you need special tools but I don’t think you do as there have been many who have done it at home, there was a revised tensioner but I’m not sure if it has to be fitted with the revised guides :eusa-think: me personally if it ain’t broke don’t fix it :D

Checking the wheel bearings for play is a simple job, but the car needs to be jacked up which can be a nightmare due to the jacking points being made of cheese! Once raised with brakes off hold wheel top and bottom and pull and push to see if there is any play then do the same left and right...

It actually depends on which ECU you have :eusa-think: the Delphi one can be written to via OBD the Bosch one has anti tamper software and has to be removed to be written to as mine was but as Mick states if replaced with new sheer bolts no one would ever know it had been done. :thumbup:
