Could have possibly had a poor remap trying to push performance to the max?? What colour are the exhaust tips? Heavily sooted up or clean as a whistle?

There are loads of petrol cars over 100k and above, to be honest neither petrol or diesel are any good for short slow journeys but generally the diesel is the more reliable unit.

Yes DKZ is right a misfire on number 4 cylinder does point to a failing HP fuel pump but if your dealer has done the compression test then it could possibly be carbon build up but not having any previous problems sounds suspicious, surely before removing the head a look at the intake valves with...

If the noise is coming from the right side of the engine where you were looking at with the camera it’s not the timing chain that’s on the left side as your looking at it.
