You'll see all sorts of reliability issues on these forums no matter what the make or model
Don't let that put you off , these cars at seriously underpriced against similar cars
I've had 3 and very few problems having covered over 85k miles in them.
Is it me or are cars just too bloody complicated, error codes , computers, filters, emission controls, all the more stuff to go wrong.
My dad has a 1977 MGBGT , simp!e engineering and hasn't spent much on it other than bodywork in the 35 years hes owned it
Yes too be honest I'm not interested in a refund, the car is spotless and I'm not thinking of moving it on any time soon. Low mileage Zeds are becoming more and more scarce so will stick with it but am expecting either the warranty company or the dealer to cough up.
In hindsight though I should...
Ok so I said my car wasn't showing any cam chain issues , well that was true until the point when it did actually show cam chain tensioner issues and I've now got the issue of having the problem sorted. So a few quid to be spent if the warranty or dealer won't cough up. Strangely neither seem...

Think I might heard of this one somewhere before
Guess I was lucky with the first two , did 63k on my 11 plate and the only issue was a coking of the valves which peugeot fixed under warranty. A family friend then bought it off me and ran it to 80k with no issues. Second one I only ran to 25k but no problems.
Anyone know the cost of replacing the cam chain/tensioners
Car isn't showing symptoms but I know it will need doing at some point so might as well get it sorted now if I'm going to be putting 600 miles a week on it
Good luck with the new car, I don't think anyone can guarantee you won't get issues, RCZs are prone to a few problems but think of it this way. You are buying a piece of art, without doubt one of the best looking cars on the road, its the Audi TT that Audi should have built not the boring...
Just been on line and my car doesn't have other symptoms, no rattles or noises from clutch during operation and no vibration either but it does sound like the noise is happening when the clutch bites on moving from stationary .
