Got a whining noise only lasts a second or two and only from stationary never between gears or while the car is moving. Engine gearbox and clutch all work fine.
Sounds a bit like a slipping fanbelt but not as loud and doesn't happen all the time.
Any ideas anyone?
Due to reorganisation at work I'm now going to be based at an office in the north. A 500 mile round trip once a week plus other office visits which will mean an annual mileage of about 35000 just going to work. Looks like we will be using the wife's 3008 at the weekends. I've currently got a...
Matter of taste but I really like the rear light clusters
My wife drives a new shape 3008 GT and that's got similar lights - one of the best looking SUVs about.
Welcome to the forum
I'm on my 3rd RCZ and I think the mk1 like yours is the better looking car
Having said that both the mk1 and 2 are the best looking cars on the planet that you can buy for under £10k.
19s are the wheels to have . The car isn't that long and I think 20s would look out of proportion
Peugeot SPENT a lot of time designing this car and in my view got it bang on first time.
Future classic !
Real shame you've had so many problems. One of the best looking cars on the road but they do seem to have issues. I guess I was pretty lucky with the first 2 so hoping this one will be ok.
Service history is more important than mileage unless you do high miles per year.
I'm on my 3rd RCZ and only ever had one problem. All 3 were petrol 1.6 engines but I've heard the diesel is better, my wife has a 3008 GT 2.0 diesel and it's quite rapid.
They look pretty cool .I've just bought my 3rd RCZ which I'm collecting Saturday. Sold the last one 4 years ago but what I do remember was that it was a nightmare keeping the bright alloys clean and they look a bit naff when they are covered in brake dust , probably a bit of OCD on my part .
I've just bought my 3rd RCZ , the previous 2 I bought new unfortunately they've stopped making them so the new one is no newer than the car I sold in 2016.
I've had one major fault with the 2011 car when it was fairly new ,an issue with the valves which was quite a costly repair but Peugeot...
Just to introduce myself.
Literally just joined the group.
I've just bought a 2015 RCZ which I'm picking up Saturday.
Its in silver with 19 inch alloys , the front 2 have a couple of scuffs so going to get all 4 refurbished
Question is do I go for standard silver or change them to gloss black ?
