Hallelujah!! :lol:

Although, the cost of the cinema is absolutely criminal!! Tickets are 8 bucks a pop pet adult and buy the time you buy as little as a couple of bottles of (massively inflated in price) juice you're £20. I'd hate to think what the cost would be for a family of four, popcorn etc. :eek:

You could always take counterfeit juice, sweeties and popcorn into the cinema with you rizz, just wear big pants, no one will notice ;)
Or is that frowned upon also??

:lol: :lol: my closest cinema is at the beach so generally a trip there goes like this..homeboy trousers on (generally favour some Carhartt cargo pants...LOTS of pockets), quick stop off to Asda before hand and the cinema is entered with a certain "gangsta" swagger (mostly on account of being heavily weighed down by financially astute shopping. :lol: It's almost like you knew Starky!! :D

Well I personally use the lovefilm streaming service for £4.99 a month it streams using my wireless network enabled blu ray player or my Xbox 360 and I usually find something to watch though not many new films on there.

The Apple TV looks looks as though it might be a better alternative as this will allow you to rent or buy films from iTunes again this streams from the Internet but the selection of films is larger and pretty much all the new films are on there.

This looks like the future of video rental I'm afraid guys.

Bluray has better credentials you cant stream full HD sound OR the extras that come with the film........ie The making of............ directors/makers talk throughs,As for picture quality its only 720p/1080i.... :eusa-think:Which thrown on to a large tv 55" and above there is a bit of a difference.


The best picture and sound is bluray then its BBC HD who broadcast 1080p+HD 5.1 then its Chan 4 HD Who broadcast the same format but only in feature films Sky hd really is a joke and doesnt come anywhere close to the above in terms of quality.


only when the new Ultra HD Sets/programming comes out will the above become second best.

That's rather interesting about the 'HD' channels. So they aren't "true" HD channels in the proper sense?!

It's all about bitrate.
When full HD content is broadcasted in low bitrate it will still look awful.
With my Dreambox 8000 I can receive and record HD and I have one LNB pointed at Astra2 so can also receive English channels.
The BBC HD channels are very good, both in picture quality (1080 lines) and programming of course!
Thanks to the British tax payers!

Yes but if I like a film I have watched i have streamed then i will usually buy it on blu ray at a later date when it is in the sales. I have quite an extensive collection of blu rays which I usually get the triple play option. Even my 3d collection has grown larger quicker than I expected. Seen as there will be no other alternative streaming may be the only rental available so looks like we have to lump it.

Tickets for Status Quo have been booked and paid for. Scarborough Open Air Theatre on 27th July. Lovely summer evening. Good music, beer and a beautiful woman at my side :clap: What more could a man ask for ?

Only jesting RON!! I realise music is purely subjective and kudos to you for some of the previous bands you have been to see. I have tickets for Plan B, Frightened Rabbit and then Biffy Clyro in the next couple of months so I'm a relatively happy chap. My good women will be at my side for two out of three of them and I know EXACTLY where you're coming from. But...still...Status Quo?!?!? ;)

What was it that you didn't like? £10 to unsubscribe is appalling :thumbdown: Guess they want to make it so difficult that people don't bother and simply put up with the package :twisted:

Why didn't you bother to try it out? Personally I found to too time consuming to create my "to watch list" :crazy:

Try NetFlix lads, only £6 a month, lots of films, and lots of the good oldies ., you can cancel at any time.
Free months trial at the moment too :thumbup:
It saves anything you've watched automatically, so no need to make up a watch list ect , you can also (if you want) see what your mates have watched, and also send a film to them that you think they would like.

Its not bad for £6 a month, there's a big selection of all sorts of films, documentaries even music videos I think

Try it, if you don't like it walk away :dance:
