So this is what happens for me taking the mickey outta rizzo's injury's I've torn my medial knee ligament and have been told to keep of me feet for 2 weeks. Then visit knee surgeon in 8 weeks and if its not settled down more surgery I had the acl fixed in that knee 12 years ago

Maaaaan! Now, while in no way wishing to revel in your injury, it looks like karma might have had other ideas! You have my sympathy with your injury. I have torn ligaments in my leg playing football and basketball and it's a VERY unpleasant injury. They always say that ligament damage is worse than a break  so you better get resting up in the meantime and give it the best chance to heal. I hope that mrs mac is on nursing duties and that you're able to avoid surgery!!

Sounds like a splendid way to unwind at the end of the week. Let me know what you make of 'Lawless'. I really enjoyed it.

I will. I would have had it sooner only I thought that I had pre ordered it, as is usually what I tend to do. When I looked to see why it hadn't arrived I realised my error. I had Anna Karenina and Taken 2 arrive yesterday, but my bestest will view them with me sometime

Lawless= Slow at times unbelievable slow at times the final act promised everything but i was let down somewhat. Best thing about the film Guy pierce as a great baddie and Shia labeouf for the first time showed he could act a little

Dredd was just a bit Better, though Stallone still does him better As the Character Dredd not the film.

Watching Taken 2 looks promising so far.

I don't want to widdle in your cornflakes but it's no Taken. I watched Killing You Softly and it is fantastic. Brad Pitt and James Gandolfini are fantastic.

So how did you do the first injury to your knee and what have you done to tear the ligaments a second time? I expect your faith in the knee is now being severely tested! :(

Sounds like Mrs Mac is doing a cracking job. No doubt this does have an expiration date so make full use of it while the going is good!!!

1st time ruptured my acl by getting knocked of bike by stupid woman who pulled out in front of me at junction then said she didn't see me on a bright green kawasaki and luminious green crash helmet :eusa-think: then Monday nite at work me knee just poped while walking in work wasn't lifting or moving just swelled up like a ballon thought I'd done my cruciate again so was happy it was just medial still bloody sore. But 2/4 week recovery time after op rather than 6 months :helpme:

Sorry to read that mac.
Driving on 2 wheels always is a risk. Even if the other makes the mistake it is you who's going to suffer.
Being Dutch I cycle a lot but then the speed is lower so less risk of injuries. Was hit by a car once when I was a student by someone overlooking me which catapulted me over the bonnet of the car but I didn't break a bone, just got some glass cut in my lower arm which only left a scar.
We have many cycling lanes separate from the road making cycling much safer.
Driving a motor is just as dangerous as anywhere else so never even considered doing that.
Get well soon.

I lost a friend to a motorcycling accident a couple of years ago and am all too aware of the potential dangers of it. Some people really don't look out for motorbike drivers. I do think although some militant motorcyclists are partially to blame for this. However, happily they are tend not to be the norm. Would have thought that a strapping lad like yourself in lime green would have been plenty noticeable so sounds like the driver who knocked you down to cause the original damage was either distracted, not paying attention or both.

Personally, I've only ever ridden on the bike of bikes on a few different occasions and I lived the thrill of the acceleration but I know all to well that I'd probably add to the statistics and end up like custard on the side of a road...besides the wife has banned me from owning a bike.

Anyway, I'm glad that it's not your cruciate again (or I may have been forced to call you David Mackham) but it's still rubbish to hear that you are in discomfort keep resting up and take it easy dude!!
