Apologies for the radio silence on my end. Went out last night for my own leaving do. 23 of use went out, I was the last man standing at 5am this morning (the only other person that made it until then got ejected from the casino for falling asleep at a roulette table). An absolutely wild night with far too many stories (most of which are utterly unsuitable for sharing) but I am paying the price today. When will I ever learn that the game of drink is a dangerous one?!

Apologies for using this as my update thread but I must admit that I am quite enjoying the experience of homeownership :lol:

Kitchen Table built and Washing Dryer installed - will be replacing this with a dishwasher after the honeymoon but figure we will want something to wash our stuff first and foremost.

Well...The National did not disappoint. Absolutely superb gig. The musicianship was tremendous and Matt Bernigner quite the showman. Highlight (aside from the music) was when he dismounted the stage and proceeded to wander right through and round the standing crowd with no evident security (they looked too busy panicking on the stage to react) with the longest mic cable that I have ever seen. He walked round the entire perimeter of the Usher Hall before walking straight through the centre of the crowd and back up to the stage...without dropping a note. Really cool!! Tried to get an action shot which was a mixed success.

Got up early today to get tickets for Billy Connolly and appear to have been the only person I've heard of that was successful. Most of the venues were all sold out before they went to release which seems pretty unfair and already the touts are looking to profit on getmein.com with tickets initially selling out for upwards of 160 bucks and now changing hands for 260...I paid 30.50 each. Insane!! I think the suspicion is that this will be his last tour in Scotland and this one is to have no support, intervals nor encore. Respect to the man for even making the effort given his failing health.
