Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

They give off a blue light full stop and thats illegal in the uk, its not the shade of blue from any angle view i was talking about its the road light they project as for your mates beeemer the xenons in it must be a few years old if they aint better than diamond vision :eusa-think: only new bmw 2011-2012 with built in drls are of 5000k-6000k in colour tempreture and are far,far better than diamond vision,i have had 3 cars with diamond vision in them just purely for aesthetics and its the same every winter or at night in heavy rain they are useless. This winter i will change them over to 100% extreme vision just so i can see :wtf:  rizzo send them back and get the diamond vision but coming into winter time get yourself a good set of high vision bulbs as i know what the road are like up in aberdeen

Cheers jassy...you're our leading expert in this field. I have now ordered the diamond visions too...my wife is gonna kick my ass...did you notice a significant difference with the X-treme visions? Are they that yellow? I'm not really sure that there's much point in keeping the (just ordered) diamond visions if they are that questionably blue tinged and useless in the rain and snow...as you point out...one of these elements is pretty much a standard course of action in a day. In winter we frequently see at least three seasons.

The extreme vision lights throw the beam longer than standard and way brighter http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H7-Phi ... Bulbs.html

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Hi All,
After reading all the posts about led drls i thought i i would purchase a couple of 380/92smd bulbs form hids4u, fitted the offside started car to check and all ok, next fitted the offside and started car to check if all working ok but found only the nearside works. when i turn the switch to sidelights only the nearside is ok but the offside one flashes about 4 times then goes out, turn the switch back to off and it lights up, turn switch to headlights and it goes out again  .Did anyone else encounter this problem or have i purchased a faulty bulb :?:

Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

With MUCH assistance from you guys (particularly Jassy aka the light king) I have now fitted the LEDs and diamond headlights. Quick snap of them as the sun starts to dip

That's serious dedication to the LED cause! Mind sharing bulb types/part numbers for those? It's ... uh ... for a friend ...

May I know if the following link is the correct model for DRL?

http://www.hids4u.co.uk/380-super-brigh ... -bulb.html

Or should it be the below?

http://www.hids4u.co.uk/380-LED-360-Deg ... Light.html

nope these are the very ones http://www.hids4u.co.uk/380-Ultimate-Ca ... -Bulb.html order them in white as they also come red and in singles so 2 at £15.50 o search online as they do a discount code every now and then

Hi Jassy,

Will the above dim / brighten in sidelight and DRL mode? I thought this was the wrong one and should get the 380 / 360 (I don't know what that means) to have the dim / brighten works.

Please advise... :?

380= bulb type size 360= 360 degree light emitted some bulbs are frontal only, they will dim but dont worry if they dont as they will be just as bright in side light mode as they are in drl mode
