380= bulb type size 360= 360 degree light emitted some bulbs are frontal only, they will dim but dont worry if they dont as they will be just as bright in side light mode as they are in drl mode

Thanks Jassy for the explanation. Truly appreciate it!

They are expensive mate but well woth it  take before and after photos and show us when you get your car on friday and remember test the led bulbs plugged in but not fiited in to the headlamp housing or in the rear cluster before final placement just see if they function properly as the headlamp bulbs can be a bugger to take back out, then get the led bulbs for the front fogs and your rcz will look like something from close encounters

Hi Jassy,

Will the above dim / brighten in sidelight and DRL mode? I thought this was the wrong one and should get the 380 / 360 (I don't know what that means) to have the dim / brighten works.

Please advise... :?

Hi Jassy,

Just got my LEDs and spent the last hour fitting them on my RCZ.

Done.

However, I found the DRL LED does not dim when I ON / OFF the main light. It remains as the brightest all the time. While checking, I found one side of the LED NOT lighting up. I have to OFF the engine, ON it back, then the DRL LED runs fine again.

Anyone experienced that? I was hoping to have the DRL LED dim and brighten as the original light.

Another note, I found the LED to be much brighter than the Xenon that comes with my RCZ. Kinda weird, but still acceptable.

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

was it a 1 off the one side of the drl not working??? as for not dimming dont worry the brighter the better when the sidelights are activated the voltage is reduced to the bulb hence it will dim on normal tungsten bulb but if you fit the led bulbs they take very little voltage to operate so they operate at full light output even when sidelight mode is activated. As for the drl being brighter than the xenon kkrcz there is upgrade for this bulb mate but its costly

http://www.hids4u.co.uk/6000k-replacement-d1s-bulb.html these will blend in better the peugeot xenon bulbs are only rated at 4300k these 6000k with slight blue tint and will be a whole lot brighter something for the future

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Hi Jassy,

When I lock or unlock my car, I found one drl led blink one time then no light. The other side is still on.

Is this normal or my led is fault?

Which leds do you have?as said these led bulbs work off even a couple of volts wether it be a constant low voltage or passing voltage ie to the indicators when the central locking is activated or deactivated even after locking the car you will find a led very dimly lit the passenger side most times :eusa-think: because its the 1st light in the circuit still holding a very slight charge in the circuit, but just check the bulbs by reversal of 1 side to the other if the same happens then its the circuit voltage but if it doesnt then its the bulbs that at fault

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Hi Jassy,

The one I bought is the 380 model, the one you recommend.

I noticed the following behavior:

1. Sometimes the passenger side LED (DRL) will light up, sometimes will not.

2. Sometimes the driver side LED (DRL) will dim, sometimes no. When it dim, the passenger side LED (DRL) will not light up. When full brightness, then both side LED will light up.

3. I have swapped the LED, same happened to the passenger side LED.

I suspect the DIM power / voltage is too low on the passenger side DRL, hence the LED is not being lighted up. While in full brightness, both will light up.
