I’ve left a set of Godspeed pistons and a repair kit with it amusingly! The calipers were replaced under warranty at 42k I think, but I got the kits for a refurb at some point.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for the shout! And well spotted!
No, it’s a great car and I parted with it with sadness - I had only done 200 miles or so since the last service and really couldn’t do it justice. Nowhere permanent to store it and it just seemed sensible to get it in the hands of the next person...
Still wondering what to do with mine. The Peugeot Warranty will expire in a couple of years - but I’ve managed to keep it completely original.
It’s an RCZ R, LP63DSZ in white with all the additional bells and whistles that were available at purchase. I bought it new in January 2014. It’s in...
Great response, thank you! I think I’m probably in the same place. I’m thinking of getting an Audi S3 Sportsback next. My first non Peugeot acquisition in over 35 years of driving - because there are no ‘fun’ Peugeots anymore regrettably.
Hi all,
I’d really welcome the thoughts of the group on what to do with my RCZ R, LP63DSZ in white with all the additional bells and whistles that were available at purchase. I bought it new in January 2014. It’s in excellent original condition, relatively low mileage (55000), has been serviced...
In a further blow to the future of the Peugeot Sports branding, I hear from dealers that the 308 GTi has been discontinued now too. The only vaguely pokey model is the 308 Allure GT. Such a shame! I’ve still got my (low mileage, full Peugeot Service History, including additional plug and oil...
Yes, corroded callipers picked up on the MoT. The standard Peugeot extended warranty clearly covers them as they are not a standard wear and tear item (unlike disks and pads).
Re: RCZ R front discs and calipars
I had my callipers replaced under the extended Pug warranty this January - 5 year old RCZ R. I had to pay for a new set of discs.
A friend of mine was told by U.K. Peugeot HQ today that they have stopped manufacturing the explosive bonnet pistons for the RCZ. His RCZ has been written off as a result (and it was a minor accident). I’m astonished. I thought that there was a minimum time that car companies were supposed to...
An update - car is now safely back. I talked to Peugeot UK who prioritized the fuel pump (they were really helpful) and talked to the dealership. The dealer even waived the £102 plus VAT to plug the car into the diagnostic machine. Warranty covered the £1000 for the new fuel pump plus the cost...
My RCZ - R generated a fault light last weekend. Took it to the dealers on Tuesday who have told me that the high pressure fuel pump needs replacing. Thankfully I had bought an extended warranty (it's just over 3 years old) as recommended through Peugeot. Two problems however. Firstly, the...
Exactly the same problem on my 2014 RCZ R. I think it is clutch but it is very, very intermittent. Seems to also correlate with a long journey.

All,
I am now in possession of a shiny pair of DVDs from Peugeot Navigation for the 2012/13 map update. Only thing is, how long is the upgrade likely to take? Loathe to sit there with the engine running for ages while it reads what looks like around 12 GB of data - and difficult to do when...
