The diesels are basically bulletproof, had mine since new (2013).
Check the jacking points as mentioned above.
The diesel doesn't have a timing chain, but has a belt instead changing at 100k or 10 years whichever comes first.

Check the gap of your spark plugs, mine was trying to tickover now and again at over 1000rpm, but since the service where new plugs were fitted it's always been 650-850rpm tickover.
Which version of RCZ do you have?
When it starts to faulter are you sat in gear with the clutch down?
But when you are sat out of gear it doesn't faulter?
On another forum (Peugeot 1007) someone had a similar problem in that they had no power steering, they was told check connections, from bsi, to power steering ecu, to power steering pump.
So might be worthwhile checking the connectors and checking for any broken wires.
The seal around the door aperture, if there is a frost, you can always scrape the bottom edge of the window so it can drop before trying to open the door.
You can lubricate the seal to stop it sticking.
Vasoline is the one I use on Peugeot 1007 (the one with the sliding doors). Has not stuck in winter yet!

Did you know that by jacking up the front so wheel comes off the ground, then jacking a little more the rear wheel also comes off the ground as well, so you could do one side at the same time!
But I would not recommend doing this on the jacking point see the above link.
The Sport and GT are just trim levels I believe.
The GT model may have come with a few extras included, but nothing that couldn't be added as an optional extra on the sport model.
Most sport models have the basic radio (RT5) I think which just has a hump on the dashboard for the display, but...
