"Peugeot diagnostic scanner" hmm.
Maybe I'm a bit cynical.
I once used a "Peugeot specialist" who couldn't deactivate the TPS in my first 407 with his supposed Peugeot diagnostic scanner. An hour later it cost me £30 for the warning to come back up a mile later.
So I bought pp2k and did it...
Any ng4 should work. I fell lucky, it was about £250 from memory.
The only "rcz" Ng4s were all from Lithuania and Poland at the time and well in excess of £600, excluding shipping.
My NG4 melted internally one day. I spent ages on ebay and luckily one day I managed to find one from a scrapped 5008 that was literally a quarter of the price of ones advertised as from an RCZ.
It's an easy job to swap the faceplate, but you will need the equipment to VIN code the replacement...
Do they use the correct diagnostic equipment?
Peugeot/Citroen are notoriously difficult to read if you're not using the correct gear.
You CAN read them with generic readers, but you won't get the full picture.
I only ever own one car at a time now.
I did have 3 at one point. I wasn't popular.
Since I owned my RCZ I had a GT 86 for 3 years which was great and now because I'm old and broken I have a 2021 GR 2.0 Corolla estate.
Coil packs are easy to change, and to be fair if one has gone it wouldn't be too expensive to do all 4 at the same time. Literally a couple of minutes to do.
Unfortunately the petrols are prone to the odd issue, as you've discovered.
