Lovely car Burger!!
I think the Dolphin Blue is my favourite colour. The thing is that I haven't actually seen a real one in the wild yet. It seems to be a different colour depending on the light.
I have my fingers crossed for the warning light to be a cheap fix.
Hi Mick,
I haven't driven in mainland Europe since the mid 1990s. My best European tour was seven days in 1986. My mate and I did France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, departure point Dover. I think our mileage was 1500 for the week but wouldn't swear by it...
Thanks AEK.
Nope, I haven't got a clue what the turbo pressure is!
All I know is what the rolling road printout shows above. By the way, the image is just a photograph of the graph they gave me. I don't know what "Total ratio 3.825" means, any ideas? Also, "Weight 900.0" is clearly not the...
Hi JBM,
I bought my 156GT on August 4th 2017.
My first bit of advice is not to buy the first car you've found. I wish I'd bought a 200THP, for the improved performance. I'm glad I don't have a satnav though, it's a personal thing but it does block the view out of the windscreen quite a bit...
Remap News
Hi all, yesterday I took my car for her remap.
Caveat Emptor. I know very little about remaps. I just had expectations of getting more power, torque and probably improved MPG. If I make any statements that are wrong, it's because I don't know any better! Any "stock" figures I refer...

It took me a while but she is now "just right". What do you think?
Did I do a good job?
Some other guy had his GS3 in for mods too. I quite like it.
Can you guess the approximate date and venue where I really did take these pics? No cheating. Apologies in advance because I'm quite certain...
Update on my Remap
I was asked to take my car in this morning at 08:00 for it's remap. I dutifully turned up at just before 08:00 to find the place locked up and the small yard that they have completely full of six vehicles or so. To be fair, they arrived at 08:05 and moved two vehicles out. I...
Thanks Mick, you made my day!
I bought the plate from regtransfers.co.uk. Me and the Mrs were coming home from picking up the car. I said to her, "A private plate would look good on the car". Her reply caught me totally off guard when she said, "Yes. I think we should get one". Well then, as...
It has begun. I've spent about £220 on cleaning materials in the last 10 days.
I've visited North East Remaps in Cornsay Colliery to talk about a remap. The bloke I spoke to was very helpful and left me baffled on a few occasions. She's booked in for September 6th. It will take about 5 hours...
Thanks to everyone for their posts.
DKZ, I would love to go to a meet but I think I'd have to park my Z off site due to grubbiness.
Pleco, great photos, I love the drone ones especially. I want a drone, one that will follow you driving!
Scotty, I would appreciate any ideas that you have for a...
Hi neil,
Apologies in advance if this is a duplicate.
It's good to know that I'm not the only driver attracting plonkers. I am never ever a plonker myself. Never. Promise.
Those curves, oh those curves. I read somebody's comment on here about describing those curves that you see in your rear...
nicpy, many thanks!
I laughed at your comment.
I really appreciate that you found my post interesting and amusing. So I missed my vocation? Would that be the rare writer who compares a Hyundai i10 to an RCZ? I'm pretty sure I'm unique in that respect!
But seriously ... thank you
Thanks stewart for the comment and info about the car's mystique. I'm glad that somebody enjoyed my waffle. I will now go and look for your own "verbiage".
It's quite rarely that I post my "waffle" on different subjects on differing websites but when I do I go on and on and on...
It is nice...
Initial experiences are bad. I can barely tell the difference. The rain beads but seems to cling to the glass until I get up to at least 60 and then it goes off in streaks.
I followed the instructions. Applied it to clean glass and wiped off with kitchen towel. Perhaps I did it wrong or...
I've now had my Mercury Grey 156 GT for 15 days.
My commute is a 41 mile round trip, 96% of it on the A68 in County Durham.
I've done 527 miles so far. Apart from the commute they have mostly been on Durham Dales roads, twisty, up and down a lot and loved by the fair weather two wheelers at...
Re: Quiet at work so took the opportunity to give her a clea
Hi Ian,
I've just got my RCZ. I would love to know what that foam/snow type stuff is that you've cleaned her with.
I do 41 miles a day to and from work on an "A" road which usually gets along at 45-90mph. The front of my car is...
