No recalls as such for the timing chain/tensioner but problems affect all the petrol variants even the R mostly down to oil quality and level, new updated parts have been available fir a long time now and most will have had them fitted at some point but if not looked after these too can fail. I...

Hi and welcome take no notice of the dash just make sure it’s topped up to max on the dipstick faulty sensors are common but also parking at awkward angles can cause a oil warning. When these warnings happen and your dipstick reads low once topped up it can take a few days to reset. 👍

That’s what it should look like and yeh level needs to be kept up to the top nodule 👍

Could be almost anything you need to get it checked out by someone who knows what they’re doing, timing kit replacement shouldn’t cost you much more than £600 from a dealer some inflate the price but phone round for best price.
