The sensor cannot be relied upon for oil level/top up, once activated the oil could well be be too low already. these engines seem to require the oil near to the max. How much oil was lost/did you top up half a litre or more? How much covered the engine etc and how long was the car driven...
To start have you had a service and changed the oil and filter since purchase? Have you checked the oil level and dipstick....oil is up near max and the dipstick has not broken off? What oil filter was used. Does the oil look contaminated in any way?
Oil sensor may be knackered/wire loose etc...
Wowsers....so bespoke part then? I would as you say at that galactic price be getting an expert diagnosis of all possible damage done to your engine and then consider sending the Head to be reconditioned etc. If there is anymore damage identified it may be time to consider a recon engine from...
The job of changing the pump is relatively straight forward think there is a video on YouTube to help, what version do you have as there are different pumps? Depends on where you are but any competent tech worth their salt should be able to change the pump pretty quickly and easily; the garage...
Indeed......difficult to diagnose on internet but sounds like the hpfp is the culprit......and I would suggest not using the garage again for your Pug. As said have a search on here LOADS of posts....mine went 18months ago and I had similar symptoms and codes.
High Pressure Fuel Pump....search on here loads of posts, New Unit or some get them refurbed via a chap on eBay.
Known issue with 'most' direct injections but especially with the RCZ, at least you won't have the needless wallet hammering some owner's get who are led on merry financial dance by...
Have you contacted a Main Dealer? Fish Bros have been prompt with good prices. Failing that an email to Peugeot Uk.
Going to be a special order for sure, the EP6CDTR block in the R is reinforced and many engine parts were redesigned or modified. I am thinking the cylinder head could be quite...
2015 Black R in Rochester on eBay looks like from a dealer/auction stock,
17K miles 2 owners. very odd it seems to have shiny roof strips, In the service history listed as a service 700miles after main dealer at 15700 miles for £2030 in the same year that it had the MD service.......a prang...
Down to 4 R's on AT....that black one with 85K has finally gone too was down to £11K; guess the 160K white one@£10K hastened the sale.
The black one at £21K seems to have gone too!!!
Hoping and guessing the used car market will re-adjust over the next 12months as I have a few cars I still want...
I reckon no more than a third of R's have changed hands this year if that be good to see the stats though, along with several being written off; buyers seem to be willing to pay top money for the two main factors low mileage and condition or maybe 3...not purchasing via a private sale.
R's in...
My take on this would be that swopping from 0w30 to 5w30 offers little benefit whatsoever for the OP's situation or higher mileage or running temps; given the first number is the viscosity of the oil when 'cold'. Putting a 40 weight/high mileage oil in could possibly offer some benefit for...
