I don't know if you have finished that job yet as Iv'e only just seen it on here? Anyway, I've changed the VVT soleniod on a 156 because mine was causing an annoying
oil leak. During lockdown on my rest days from work I decided do a few upgrades and search out the oil leak. So I took off the...
A big thanks for the link it download fine and works great. I have been looking for this for a while now. There was a very old post on here that no longer has links/replies.
With the lack of a Haynes Manual Ive struggled with a few DIY jobs but this is oustanding! Many Thanks
Well done. I kept the old reflector but its covered by the new rail of LEDs. Totally agree you can only do this once the unit would be a real mess if you opened it up again. Probably wouldnt stop me trying tho Lol
I have come to the conclusion after 12 months of ownership and using social media groups. That the timing chain issue is a problem on all petrol RCZs possibly a little less on the R model. 2014 cars have had to have it all replaced so the car really needs to have regular oil changes and visual...
The 200 has bigger brakes, stronger torsion bar and uprated Mcferson strut suspension. The air intake is different to my 156 also. Not sure about the Turbo could be bigger not sure. Interiors the same as far as I now.
It is tight trying to change the headlight bulbs. My method is to take the metal clip off first it clips at the top. Once off take the bulb out and pull the plug off the back ensuring your ignition is off. I changed from stock to Osram Cool Blue intense as they were the closest in white light...
A seller on Ebay does around 20 or so different ones. Just type ECZ decals into Ebay and you will find the seller about £25 a pair. Fit yourself bit fiddly but follow instructions and youll be fine
I have taken my NG4 sat nav out to repair a flickering screen and noticed that the right hand side of the unit has a curled multi wire cable with a grey sleeve over it. That cable can easily get caught thus slowing down the opening process. After I did the repair I removed the black clip that...
Hi Callum. Never wait til the warning light comes on! If its your daily drive check it every week on the 156 THP I mean via the dip stick make sure its right up to the nib on the dip stick. If top up required poor it it in slowly and check after each pour until it reaches the nub on the dip stick.
I repaired mine after buying a new replacement a few months ago. I used a Dremmel but be caeful the glue is very deep at the top of the unit around 10mm thick. Its a very messy job and leaves a rough finish that needs to be filed and sandpapered when you put it all back together. I bought a 12v...
Welcome Steve. I'm not far from you near Warrington. If it's an NG4 sat nav my Z had the same problem but I've managed to fix it myself. One of the cables going into the unit on the right hand side is like a braided ethernet cable and has two cable clips holding it fast attached to the unit. The...
After a closer inspection the hissing sound when the brakes applied is coming the lower dash near glove box. This is where the Brake Servo is attached to the bulkhead and as such it appears it's not holding a vacumn. So I'll be looking at at repalcement to install.
Hi folks. Not come across this before in any car.
When I press the brake pedal I can hear a hissing air rushing sound from underneath the Hand Brake lever somewhere in that tunnel. The brakes work fine as does the handbrake and no warning lights on. The car is a 156 GT. I think it could be a...
Many thanks. I found the MAP sensor a few months ago took it out for a clean but it was spotless. However, I have changed the stock air filter for a performance ITG filter. These filters are slightly oiled and I just wanted to keep an eye on the MAF sensor to ensure it doesnt get oiled up. Could...
Hi folks. Can anyone tell me where the MAF mass flow air sensor is located on the air intake system on the THP 156 engine? I found a diagram on the forum but I dont think it was my engine plus I cant seem to find anything there?
Many thanks in advance.
