Hi folks. Not come across this before in any car.

When I press the brake pedal I can hear a hissing air rushing sound from underneath the Hand Brake lever somewhere in that tunnel. The brakes work fine as does the handbrake and no warning lights on. The car is a 156 GT. I think it could be a vacumn pipe or something but don't know where to look or how to get the hanbrake assembly out to see whats under there.
Any idea's or has anyone had similiar issue? Thanks in advance..

After a closer inspection the hissing sound when the brakes applied is coming the lower dash near glove box. This is where the Brake Servo is attached to the bulkhead and as such it appears it's not holding a vacumn. So I'll be looking at at repalcement to install.
