you helped diagnose mine and you were right :)
I didn't have to do a demo, but had to wait 2 days while they disassembled and looked for the issue, saying if the plates were worn etc I would be paying the labour as friction material was not covered......it was the DMF so got all new items...
the DMF is a weak point and in my view not fit for purpose I would prefer a SMF and will replace with one if/as when.
Lay money it is the DMF given the description of pulling away/incline......my clutch plates had no wear, thrust bearing was fine.....it was the DMF.
As and when you decide to...
Was done at v low mileage....but whether psychological it felt 'slicker'. Others have commented the gb felt better when changed at higher mileage....worth doing imo
I agree, with those figures it wouild appear only around 5% of R's are for sale. How many left have for the 3rd quarter of 2022 as 259 taxed and 18 on SORN so numbers are slowly dropping too with their figures showing 277 examples of the 305 remaining. Seems many Owner's from the stats are not...
Just typed my car reg into Motorway given your experience not the full details; I would never sell to such shysters and not selling in any case, just to see valuation mine was valued at £11K by them so only about £5-8K less than what a similar car is selling for and what I would want for it; low...
There was a site I used where you can tap in the car's VIN etc for production date, warranty start date, exact specification trim/data with everything listed..,,think it even had front parking sensors listed as fitted so pretty darn accurate.....I printed mine out ages ago but I think the link...
Do you really care what people think you bought the car, not them.....or you've made a big mistake and better chop it in for a BMW, Audi or something equally mundane 'to fit in'
Broken spring on my car was replaced as a pair under Pug Warranty...3rd Party Warranty is usually as useful as used bog paper...the costs even allowing for parts you state are very high....I would not be giving them my business..they seem to treat you like you have given then a blank...
Glad your wife is ok. Amount of drug driving on our roads is at epidemic levels...a friend of mine was killed end of last year by a drug/drink driver. No police presence on our roads and a broken judicial system doesn't help....
Yep, noted on here many issues are often down to the (complete) lack of routine care and maintenance by owners...especially important as THP engines can use so much oil....keep the oil topped to Max.
Oil and coolant leaks are easily dealt with as you say through proper maintenance and replacement. Same with all vehicles if you neglect it, it will let you down.
Faults.....and witch hunts to find issues.........9/10 seem to be ignorance and indifference of both Owner's and Techs; the Motor...
