Bangor RCZ, you're right of course. I need to stop tormenting myself. More importantly, I hope you are still ecstatic about your acquisition. The admiring glances must be hell!
Hi aussiercz...hope your nerve is holding  . As for admiring glances I tend to not look about me when I'm driving or sitting at junctions so I just have to imagine them although I was getting back into my car the other day when a group of young lads (20s) went past and one said "Your car's lovely!" Made me grin! Still loving it and am letting the spoiler come up and down when it wants so that cars behind go "Oh look, a spoiler...oh, where did it go?"

Hi BangorRCZ. Hope you're still getting lots of pleasure with your lovely new car. The spoiler thing is hilarious. When I went for my test drive the dealer deployed the spoiler (he thought it was a special feature that deserved demonstration). Unfortunately he didn't know how to retract it and got in an awful tizz thinking that this new super Peugeot had mechanical flaws and that I wouldn't order one. Little did he know that I had already fallen in love and couldn't have cared less whether the spoiler was up, down or somewhere in between.

Hi aussie (fast asleep by now :sleeping-yellow: :sleeping-yellow: :sleeping-yellow: ), yes, the first time I went to put the spoiler back down manually I didn't hold the switch long enough and thought it was broken, one day old

Ha ha I wonder how many new owners have struggled with that one. The moral to the story is that you've just got to keep that finger on the button.

Good evening, Aussiercz  . Yeah, hold the button OR read the manual!!! I've now read mine from cover to cover unlike a lot of men who don't do that but think they know what they're talking about. As a woman and fond of technology I read all about things when the instructions are in intelligent English (unlike some flat-pack assembly items  ).

Hi Bangor RCZ, long time no see. I've been a bit busy for the last few days. Anyway, no, you musn't read the manual. Doing so seems to make all the various functions so mundane. It always seems so more exotic when you've worked it out for yourself. Spoiler is a perfect example - imagine how much more fun it is experimenting rather than just following the instruction and getting it right first time.

Oops!!! Too late was the cry. I've now inwardly digested it (not that I can remember everything!) . Hope your nerves are holding out. Countdown continues.

I never read manuals (and if you knew what my job was you would be in hysterics!). I love just pressing all the buttons to see what happens - altho' I was caught out the first day I had it. I took a run out to show it off to a friend - she asked to see how big the boot was - yep you guessed it.... I pressed the spoiler button - doh! :eusa-whistle:

Good evening again BangorRCZ. Yes counting down to January and getting toey. I think it will go really quickly now with all the festive stuff coming up in December. And all of a sudden it will be here. Haven't seen one on the road here yet. I hope mine is first. The dealers have some demos but I don't think they've sold any of them yet. Anyway, I hope your little beauty is still engendering lots of smiles.

Yeah, maybe I'm just taking more time to look around me now but it's certainly getting the looks and comments. And as you say, what with the mayhem leading up to Christmas and how quickly those weeks fly by, you'll be a proud parent before you know it

Talking of parenting, i'm not sure if it's going to be a boy or a girl (test drive didn't sway me one way or the other) I think I'll just have to drive it a bit when mine arrives and hopefully arrive at a an unchallengeable position. Right now I'm leaning towards girly but, who knows, it might turn out to be ambidextrous to coin a Mrs Slocumbism.

   Just don't go for the purple wig-look when driving it! I have to agree, though, that giving cars a gender is a bit weird and only now that I've christened mine Freddie (Mercury) I've started referring to it as masculine. The curves are definitely feminine but those rear haunches are VERY butch so, as Scarlet pointed out to me, Freddie was a bit ambidextrous too so it suits my RCZ.

oh Scarlet, don't let any TT owners see that observation. You know what the response will be.....'Yeah, of course, the RCZ can go and f... itself then' How crass but what one should expect I'm afraid.
