Hi, my name is Tomas, 22 years old and I live in Finland. Been thinking about buying an RCZ for a while now since it really is the only car i currently want. They're just gorgeous to look at and with that 1.6l engine they're not too bad on fuel economy either, god knows that costs at lot as it is. I've only testdriven one 156 bhp car from the showroom when they were released and i completely loved it.
I currently drive a 2001 Peugeot 406 2.2l Sport and before that i had two different 405's so i'm not stranger to Peugeot's
Thing is the price and availability around here. There are a lot of 156 bhp models for sale but very few 200 bhp ones, which is the one i want.
Now they do have a decent 2nd hand one for sale with the THP 200 in metallic white and 19" all black wheels. This is precisely what ive been looking at. But it doesn't really have anything extra on it at all exept for that, which is a bit worrying. The grille is black and the short shift/smaller steering wheel is said to be standard on the 200 bhp models tho.
Something i really wanted was the JBL HiFi Pack but this car doesn't have that either. As i've read on this site it's okay without it but i would assume you can easily replace the speakers yourself? Does an aftermarket Sub and Amp plug right into the head-unit? The JBL Pack does have a Subwoofer right? What about USB connections to the stereo? Does the original without the SatNav and harddrive etc. have that?
Xenon's aren't on this car either but you can buy aftermarket kits for that as i really want that. There are Can Bus ready systems that should work.
No leather seats/dash either. The seats im not so bothered about but the dash is a pity it's not leather....
How do you all think the depreciacion will go with these cars? Obviously the 1st owner takes the biggest blow but after that? The one i spoke of was said to be 40.000 € new 2011 and he's selling it for 30.000 € with 3.400 km on the clock with the 1st year's service done. I think that sounds rather good. You basically get a brand new car for 10.000 € less than what it would cost.
So what do you think? Can i live without the option extras? Other thoughts? Timing is a bit off at the moment aswell since winter is coming...
