hi everyone  , i have just found this forum while looking for a deal on the new rcz, found a good deal on the 156 gt, with uk discount new cars, £7000 deposit £186 a month over 3 years on pcp, the cost of the car is about £21,000 i think?, i can get it cheaper at £19,600 with discount new cars but i don't think they do a pcp deal?, i did order the feline last year and paid a deposit but there where so many changes at my work place that i didn't want to be tied to the job with a £330 a month repayment over the next 4 years, so i cancelled it and lost my deposit  . our last 4 cars have been peugeot and we have a 2004 308cc at the moment, my wife said she would miss the open top motoring if we swapped to the rcz? has anyone ever brought a car off one of these internet company's? or would you rather go to the dealer? because you can get some great deals with as much as 18% off
I have never bought nor would I consider buying a car off of the internet. Simply I would be concerns with regard to after sales service. I came to an RCZ from a cabriolet and do miss it one bit. The RCZ has dual control Climate Control. This means it can be set to the desired temperature for driver and passenger compartment independently. The heating system will cool or heat as necessary. So you always feel comfortable. No need to ever open the windows. With cabriolets I found that if it was sunny the sun came over the wind screen and straight into your eyes, was draughty and if the temperature was high you needed to wear a cap to avoid burning. They leak are rattly and generally a total waste of money. IMHO

You may very well be correct.

Only unclear thing then is the tires. It says winter and summer tires (and rims naturally) but it doesn't say if the summer tires are 18" or 19". I hope the winter tires are what's on the picture.

And if it does have 19" summer rims then darn it all i might just have to go buy it! :D

It's a shame it's been driven quite a bit tho. 30.000 km sounds a lot to me. I'm afraid of the EP6 engine! :D

I'm gonna have to call the dealership some day then.
It is a Sport (cloth seats) and as such 18" wheels are standard. That is also what is currently showing in that image. What is EP6 engine?

Oh. Its the name of the RCZ engine :) Just cause they tend to have a few problems, some more than others ofc but still.

And btw just cause it has cloth seats it doesnt necessarily meab it has the 18s. Every car on sale here has the cloths exept the Asphalts.

Things aren't going my way at all now. There are currently no real candidates for purchase! :( There was one RCZ i called the salescompany about yesterday but it only had the 18" summer rims and i can't live with that. Would have been great otherwise...

Ontop of that i've been offered a brand new Focus ST from here in town today that was listed at 43.000 € but i was gonna get it for 41, maybe less if i haggle. Then there's the GT86 that i've yet to drive but that's even more expensive then at about 44.000 €.

The Focus and GT86 would be brand new but the RCZ wouldn't be.

The salesman said there was about an 8-10 weeks delivery time on a new RCZ but i want a car now. And forgive me but as much as i love the RCZ i don't know if i would pay 40k+ for a new one. It just doesn't seem worth it.

Went out looking at a Focus ST in a dealership today and it looked great i must say. I'm trying to think of reasons NOT to buy it but it's hard...

Salesman gave me a really good price too, atleast that's what i think but you know how it is... (Prices are probably high to your standards but it's to do with taxes and such, stupidly expensive eitherway) :p Anyway it was listed at 43.000 € something originally and he would sell it to me for 40.500 €. Discount on paper is 2.658 €. he said it was about 9.5% discount on the actual baseprice or something.

I actually think this has to be the cheapest one in the country!

Equipment was:
Audio 7 (Sony optional, no subwoofer tho. Real shame about that)
Darkened windows B-pillar and back
Performance Pack, darkgrey rims.
Cruise control
Bi-Xenon
Metallic color, Spirit Blue

I really should be a no-brainer but i'm just not sure. He also said and i also believe that when it comes to sell the car in 3 years time or so i would get about 30.000 € back since they will hold the value pretty good and it's a big useable "family car", it should be easy to sell right?

So what do you think?

Anxiety x1000 :( :(

I think it's a focus and it looks like a million other cars and just like the Audi it will go unnoticed in the crowd.

It's worth it. If you have the budget. I know it's above an average priced car, but it's simply not an average car.

I'll hold off commenting on the other models mentioned, they wouldn't even be on my radar :)

Have to agree with Richard there are only two other cars I would consider a GT86 but not sure i like the interior or a Honda CRZ GT don't see many of them around.

Well the GT86 is out im afraid as its too expensive right now. You are also right in that the ST isnt really a special car unless you know what it is. Enthusiasts will recognize it but others wont.

Bah, i found another one now that was even better....

The original one i was looking at isn't really an option anymore. Here's a link:
http://www.nettiauto...d/focus/5339960

Talked to the salesman over the phone today and he said it's a demo-car they've had since new and it had been driven approx 2500 km. Taken in running order fall last year so the warranty is a bit off but this one had parking sensors (not sure if the other one had, atleast i didn't see any) and both winter & summer wheels+rims! Plus all the other extras the other one had.

He also gave me a price of 39.000 € done and dusted, which is still 1500 € cheaper than the other one! So this one has to get first priority i think.

I also called a guy about the white RCZ i posted here earlier asking about the rims and i think he said he'd get back to me but i haven't heard anything yet. Sounded like there was a very high chance of the summer rims being 18" standard ones tho :(

Edit: aaah, the summer rims are 19" Sortilége! That just got interesting! :D

With an extra set of rims, wow, it's a bonus.

In Oz we don't bother with seasonal tyres, just four rims with my car :)

Yeah well we need them over here. A lot of snow and ice during winter.

I talked to the salesman today so me and my brother are going to go see the car tomorrow and hopefully buy it then! :)
It's a 5 hour trip to get there so it's quite a drive but it'll be worth it!

yeah, I get that with the snow thing - and I can understand stepping into the 18" rims for that environment, makes sense.

then slim down to the 19" for summer :) yeah baby.

I just hope to god it's running alright despite the high mileage. It is like playing the lottery a little, but it could end up being a great car too!
