Which? magazine has just published an article on extended warranties.
Their conclusion is that you're better off putting the annual fee in an account then drawing on that if something happens.
Average annual repair costs accross the Pug range is £154 but a warranty will set you back £500+
With so many exclusions in 3rd party warranties it can be difficult to make a claim.
Extending the manufacturer warranty tends not to have the same exclusions and could be worth it, especially since they compare well on price to 3rd party warranties, Ford and Skoda are even cheaper, not sure about Peugeot though.
