Now...do you mean badges or letters?! ;) :p Perhaps this will help? You'll never need those letters again now that you're able to tell what those hulking great car badges mean...you know the ones like we all STILL have on our cars...? ;) :D

Just reading that a new facelifted ST is to be released late this year. There will also be a diesel ST-TD version apparently.

That doesn't flow well... but I suppose they couldn't just call it the ST-D...

Yeah it's getting a wee nip and tuck as for the diesel model designation the mind boggles the best thing about the facelift is the focus will be available with a 8-5 inch screen incorporating the satnav and Ford sync 2. Something l would like ,engine power Wil be increased slightly

Why...??? he's entitled to his opinion, that's what car forums are all about but would you buy another rcz? Most people don't as they like other cars for different reasons and fancy a change,l for one would a have a gtc VXR in a New York minute, l love hot hatchbacks variety is the spice of life cliche l know but most of the time it's true

Am off work this weekend and fancy a visit to planet VXR am curious...... :)

Abz thats the nice sounding old 2.5 v6 Mk2.5 ST and a very nice example into the bargain 225 bhp is standard so a small 50 bhp upgrade is quite impressive, remember Ford themselves put 350 bhp in this engine for the Focus RS500...A lot of RS owners have got easily 450-600bhp from this engine.

Meanwhile back on Planet VXR...I visit my nearest VX dealer just to get a test drive of this beast...Damn sales managers day off "" Lazee Git""... He has of course got the only driveable VXR...so i was taken to the car compound, where a red one was sitting "NOT MY COLOUR" "But looks nice all the same" just off the transporter,Jassy enters the Planet VXR OK...needed a key but thats easily sorted....starts the beast up...with the door still open...and was welcomed by a nice Guuurrrrrlllll...very nice indeed...but it cant be driven.. :( it still got the transport blocks on, in the suspension...anyhow,those 20" London eye wheels are mightily impressive shod with 245/30/20 michelin tyres..."man you wouldnt need much tyre dressing on them" The interior is very nice on par with the ST so i was impressed "the ST is a very nice place to be in" not been a fan of GM interiors in general so this was a surprise. The steering wheel is nice, small and button laden "just the way i like them"...Seats... :eusa-think: :eusa-think: Very nice design like the half leather, but they seemed very flat...compared to ST's Recaros, the centre consol looked very busy indeed "Just the way i like em" Pressed the VXR Button   "nursing a semi by this time" ....The car i sat in had the Aerokit and privacy glass...So l am going for a test drive next Friday...As i finish work early..l really need to drive this car :eusa-think: i am a bit smitten...its got the WHAOOO factor that my ST hasnt...Lets see how it drives.... :eusa-think: :eusa-think: Carbon Flash, Full Areokit Xenons/led drls AFL,Privacy glass,Navi 950 satnav, and if keyless entry is available...PCP DEAL PRETTY PLEASE....Rizz its a belter of a beast mate...its looks are on par with the RCZ GT....but its performance...."To Be Continued"

Loved your post Jassy!! It really is quite a car. Some serious power and looks to match IMO Did the one you were in have sat nav?! Your day was more successful than my own. I went to the vauxhall dealership in Aberdeen and they have NO GTC VXRs at all...and they are a "VXR Specialist" and "the only VXR8 specialist in Scotland". Poor show!! I had a nosey around this one which has now been sold. The cost of running this thing is absolutely ridiculous and, if I'm honest, I wouldn't be spending 40k on it!!!

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 1/usedcars

I then decided to visit EVERY dealership in Aberdeen (except the Seat and Skoda one) and have been spoken to by exactly NO salesmen (nor saleswomen) in any of them!!

Had a wee nosey round the Golf R demonstrator but it's in white...boy does it not do the car justice!!!! What a waste!!

Just been reading about the new Cupra breaking the front wheel drive record around the Nurburgring but the car holds no appeal to me visually.

^^^ Seconded!!

Looks best in Lapiz Blue. (If you are easily offended then you may wish to look away now!!) This is a colour which one of my mates and colleagues described to me as, "a colour that you'd unzip your trousers for and wipe your k**b all over... He has such a way with words..

I really like the look of the GTC /VXR. They are a good looking car. I much prefer the look to a Golf R.

What I cannot understand is people buying the GTC VXR without the Aero kit. It doesn't look like the same car and is barely discernible from the much less powerful GTC (Sri). This is an essential option in my eyes. It's a prett imposing motor with that kit on it!

I agree Mr Rizz. You need the car to stand out from the crowd and not just blend in. Otherwise what's the point :)
