Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Okay call me stupid but whatever, I need some help with what bulbs go where. So here is a photo of my vision pack right headlight with identification:

What I would like is your assistance as to which bulb goes where, I have indicated what bulbs I have already and where I have them or will put them:

A. Indicator/Turn Signal
B. Headlight
C. High Beam
D. DRL = 380/360
E. Fog Light = H8

I have a set of H1's. Which one do I replace with these?

What is the replacement for the indicators?

TIA

The best 581 led indicator bulbs are out of stock in both hids4u and autobulbs these are 581/360 super bright 27 led super bright bulbs at £21 for a pair i suppose the would take the fried egg look away from the indicator lense.i think you need these super bright bulbs as paul141 has used other bulbs without great effect as they where not bright enough :(

I have installed the H1's and will get the 581's.

Now what about the headlight bulbs in B ... they are not as white as the DRLs and high beams?

Also one of the DRL bulbs are not as bright as the other one is ???

Mr Z If you want replace your vision pack bulbs and have got some spare £££ then these are the bulbs for they are OSRAM XENARC COOL BLUE INTENSE at wait for it ........................................£179.98p   for 2

Your factory fitted vision pack bulbs D1S are rated at 4100k thats the colour tempreture of the bulbs in kelvins at this tempreture it will give you a whitish light

but not the pure bluish white light you get on BMW's and the likes.......they are rated at 5000 kelvins.

the osrams are rated at 5000k At that price your buying the best and come with a 12 months guarantee
these are available from powerbulbs.co.uk.

hids4u and autobulbs are out of stock at the moment.

as for the drls swap them about and see if they change if not contact the retailer

Your welcome also i forgot to mention osram/phillips are the oem for a lot car makers and you will find its them who make the bulbs in your rcz vision pack lights.

The osram XENARC will be a good bit brighter than the standard xenon lights you have just now giving you more road light and also more visually pleasing to the eye and will really compliment the your existing upgraded bulbs diamond vision/drls.diamond vision are rated the same 5000k.
and last but not least the osram XENARC are road legal and E marked.
i for one would love to see them on a rcz so if you go ahead.photos, photos

I agree, you will need super bright versions of the 581's (in amber) as I got a set of amber 581's that where said to be bright and you could barely see the indicators in the daylight. Get a set of super bright 501's and change the boot lamps to them, it's grrrreat.

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Changed the H1 high beams from original to Philips 12258 H1 Diamond Vision 5000K - bought these from Dealextreme.com:

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/philips-12 ... pack-16869

USD21.81 delivered (to Malaysia) - way cheaper than any other retailer online.

The colour matches the 380/92 white LEDs installed - I have the vision pack on the car, 380/92 and H1 DV 5000K are whiter/brighter, I think someone mentioned that the originals are 4100k - doesn't bother me too much.

Dealextreme also do the H7 Diamond Vision for either 24 or 16 dollars - I don't know why they have 2 listings of the same product at different prices ... not sure how much delivery to the UK is though.

if they dont dim all the better as whats the point they aint that bright not like the audi's or the likes when they do dim,but they will dim mike ever so slightly as the current is reduced by switching on the sidelight mode.leds need very little current to run brightly

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Hi guys - need some help and hoping someone can assist. I am about to take delivery of my RCZ which has the vision pack and I want to convert the lights to LED...I have tried to follow all the posts but am confused on what builds work / don't work, are/aren't compatible with the Vision Pack. Is there a simple list of which builds are required for where? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
