Did yo change the H7's to Philips diamond vision, i've just ordered a set.

Not yet on the H7's, I am waiting for my H8 LED's to arrive, but my 581's got here and were just not bright enough.

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

I have found a slight problem with my LED Daytime running lights. One side is now much brighter than the other side. I can count the LED's on the dim side whilst the brighter side is just one bright light. When I turn off the ignition the brighter side remains lit for a time whilst the dim side goes out immediately.
Any thoughts?

Which ones do you have.
380/92's or the 380/360 5w

my car does the same after turning the lights off 1 drl stays slightly lit for about 30 seconds(passenger side) its always done this, all i can is the cars wiring system must hold a slight charge for a wee while. as led bulbs can light up with even a slight amount of voltage/current .where as the normal tungsten filament bulb will need the full voltage/current to light up and will discharge almost instantly.

Previously both lights have stayed on and looked to be the same brightness. This position has recently come about and the N/S is very noticeably brighter.

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Just installed the 380/92 a couple days ago - quite an easy fit really. Bulbs don't dim/brighten at all, and don't seem to projectlight forward properly. Perfect as DRL though, the stock P21/5W bulbs tended to provoke cars in front. Works as sidelight well too.

I'm itching to try the 380/360 extreme 5W - may live with the 380/92 first for a while, unless they start developing faults.

The 380/92's also aren't as white as the vision pack list either. I've ordered Diamond Vision H1's from dealextreme.com - USD22 - see how those fare. Not sure if these are genuine Philips or some China brand knockoff, hopefully all lamps there will now be at least a similar white.

White LED fogs seem like a good next step - not sure if the ones from auto bulbs is the same as the hids4u H8 LEDs though. Anyone tried those yet?

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Just received the H7 diamond vision, they look good but cant tell how bright/white they are until tonight.
Going to get the fogs done next.

As for the 380/92's and the 380/360 5 watt i've tried them both, the 380/92's stayed on bright mode but the 380/360 5w do dim inside light mode.
I cant notice a big difference in whiteness or brightness between the two.

I didnt have any probs with the 380/92's being one brighter than the other, I think the problem here is that one has stuck on DLR mode and one on sidelight mode, swap them around and see what happens, another thing you can do if you have another car with the 380 fitting is to fit them in that car and see how they work, i did this when my stuck in DLR mode and it seemed to reset them.

Hids4u and Autobulbs direct are the exact same company, they both sell out of the same office and have the same address.

There is a UK company on Ebay called brighterbulbs that sell genuine authentic Philips bulbs cheaper than the above two mentioned companies.
For instance :
H7 Philips Diamond Vision with Brighterbulbs £28 free p&p
same bulb with Hids or Autobulbs £39.95 free P&P

Re: Changing the DLR / sidelight to LED

Ok just found these with Autobulbs H8 12V 35W ABD Xenon Extreme White (pair) £20 or £18 with Hids4u but strangely out of stock !

So is it the leds for £32.95 with Hids4u
or this "normal" type £20 with Autobulbs ?

These two companies are very clever, they put some types of bulb as out of stock but then in stock with the more expensive side of the company.

AND ITS THE SAME BLOODY PEOPLE
