Just got back from testing out the route for next week for the final time. Just to make sure there were no last minute hitches. Everything is now in place. Food is ordered. Just need the weather to be like it was today. It was glorious at the Lion.

This is important information for all those attending on Saturday.

These are maps and directions from The Lion, Blakey Ridge (YO62 7LQ) to Castle Howard (via Helmsley) YO60 7DA - for those with Sat Nav.

If you could familiarise yourself with the maps and route it would be helpful. We will have 3 convoys with a lead car, leading each one. These will help should you become lost or set adrift from the convoy.

5-10 minutes after driving through Helmsley, we will get to Slingsby, where we will do a right turn (signposted Castle Howard). Please be careful when carrying out the right turn. Don't rush.

Washed car today, will have to wash it again tomorrow as it rained after and then the wind got up and tree blossom covered it. Leaving Friday am so might even wash it again when we arrive at our hotel. Looking forward to the meet and greet, see you all there. :greetings-wavingblue:

Between the rain, tree sap and next doors log burner, mine has never been so dirty. It even snowed & hailed on it for a short time yesterday.
Just hoping I get a chance to give it a quick swill on Friday or I may be letting the side down a bit on Saturday. :eusa-think:
