Off the road...but could have been worse!

So Tuesday, I took the RCZ HDi out and the engine stuttered a bit 500m up the road, then again, and again, then engine warning light, "please repair" flashing at me. Turned around, went home. Booked into local garage for today for diagnostic. This morning, car won't start at all... I'm imagining...

    Red 64 plate Suffolk/Essex

Moroccan Red RCZ with black arches followed me (red with silver arches, as pictured) through Brantham, Suffolk, and Lawford, Essex on Wednesday, about 10am. First other red I've seen in 5 months ownership! Anyone here? It was a 64 plate.

    Back from Cornwall - finally!

So, after all (for those following this saga...), a combination of bad or uncertain weather, and the G7 tying up Cornish airspace on the few sunny days, prevented us flying down to pick up the car, so I took my boy on a road trip instead. Been a busy weekend with bags of work and other stuff...

About to become a proper member of the forum! :-)

Excited to report that after a few days of remote viewing, emailed questions, and negotiation, I've just paid a deposit on a Moroccan Red HDi GT. :) It's a 14 plate, from Hawkins Peugeot of Cornwall with service stamps every 5k or so (including the one they're about to do) and 35,500 on the...

    Brief uncomfortable moment...

So (as a prospective RCZ purchaser) I was out on a test drive, alone, in moderate traffic, in a 30mph limit single carriageway link road with long sections where it's easy to get carried away, and so I'm trying to get to grips with the cruise control, which is different to my other car, when I'm...

    Resumed looking

Folk may remember that I joined the forum before third lockdown intervened. Internet-only purchasing doesn't appeal, so I've been lurking on Autotrader and Used Peugeot all winter, and am now getting out on the road to look, again. Been to look at a main dealer 10 year old 40k THP 156 Sport...

    First drive! 😎

Hello, all. Further to my 'seriously looking' post on 24 Sept, and at the risk of creating buyer competition, I thought it was time for a quick update on my search... Another couple of HDi cars have come up not far from me. One is a 13 plate Dolphin Blue GT with black leather, (which appeared...

    Dealer Covid policies...?

There's a nice 2.0 HDi at a big local second hand dealer (which appears to have a very good reputation, judging by lots of online reviews: 4.9 stars out of five), but they won't let me drive it "because of the covid situation, until we've agreed a sale". I queried this, to which they replied...

    Seriously looking...

Hi everyone, Je suis [un] Ecrivain! I'm a writer (dad, husband, chief bottle washer, etc.) living in East Anglia. Ecrivain is French for writer, ICYDK, and Peugeots being French and RCZs stylishly so, I couldn't think of anything better when I signed up just now... I'm in my 50s, went to...
