Yes some do tend to use a little but if your topping up weekly then you’ve probably got a leak or a faulty expansion bottle cap. There are a few places that seem common for leaks but as mentioned above the plastic thermostat housing is a usual suspect.

You would be just as happy with a diesel version, just remember that the majority of owners of petrol and diesel cars have relatively trouble free motoring, it’s just that owners who do have problems search out the solutions via forums so it makes things look worse than they are.

I don’t know why they removed the rubber seals to spray them? I have sprayed gloss black arches and I’m sure no rubbers were removed.

Yes I’m sure you should change the R’s plugs annually but it obviously depends on mileage I also use the uprated R plugs in my 156,NGK iridium.

If the timing kit needs changing it’s really as stated previously on that cold start up but will initially sound like a diesel motor for possibly 20-30 seconds then as the oil pressure builds it will go quiet, these engines do sound quite rattily if you have the bonnet up listening for noises so...

Yes I changed my pollen filter at the weekend if you don’t know where it is you would never find it, on the 156 thp you don’t need to remove any pipe work but it is tight for big hands :p on the 200thp you have the pipe work that puts extra engine noise into the cab this has to be removed to...

These cars do tend to throw up spurious faults from time to time just see how it goes fingers crossed it’s a one off

I’m sure Mobile 1 is fine, although I’ve not used it. I just stick to the Total Ineo first that Peugeot now recommends I’m sure any other manufacturers oil with the same specifications as the Total 0-30w will be fine.
