Yes exactly Peugeot now recommend Total ineo first 0w-30 as the service oil regular oil changes are the key to keeping this engine sweet.

Just because the temp sensor has previously been replaced don’t discount it if your having problems some of the sensors that were changed were also dodgy.

The other weak parts in the timing kit are the guides these can break up and cause major failure, the new kit has slightly beefed up items.

I can’t recommend anyone in your area, but as long as your car is running ok you don’t have to do anything in particular most companies will just write a pre bought map to your ecu some specialists will have a dyno and write a specific map just for your car and alter peramiters as it’s run up...

I know it’s crazy that a French brand car costs so much more in France and Europe than here in Britain obviously someone’s getting ripped off! 😉

Bloody hell shouldn’t the switch have been checked before the motor was replaced??? Chances are the window just needed resetting or maybe a bsi reset

If you know your timing chain needs replacing your going to do some major damage if you keep running it without a replacement
