Is it doing it frequently, is the coolant 'boiling'/bubbling in the resevoir?
Same sort of post at the one you did in June about the same issue, did you replace the thermostat etc?
Circa £4K
Some of the nicest cars I have bought and some of the best bargains on eBay for other purchases have had some of the worst write-ups or descriptions. A seller doesn't have to display the reg etc. The white R on ebay went for strong money with a basic write-up.
A Phonecall/email to...
Never purchased a hot hatch nor a new car but seriously tempted with one of these. Purely from the totally bespoke nature, the engineering, passion and performance. Going to be collectable for sure. Great a car company has made such a car in 2020! Want...............so much mirrors why I bought...
3 on Autotrader the one for £19K, one for £16K from P&G Main Dealer with 47K miles and a private example for £16.5 with 52K on the clock.
Prices have shot up since I purchased mine.
Pistonheads have done an article (not the best) but complementary on the RCZ-R featuring a trade sale for one at £19K.
Nice that the model is getting recognition, the example featured is not worth £19K imo though good to see prices rising. The comments from some are just so mis-informed the...
It pisses me off the liberties that Main Dealers and the motor trade in general take with what's paid for by the customer versus what is actually provided. Not changing cabin filters and charging £64 for the benefit it is basically theft/fraud, not providing the correct grade or specified oil...
I use it. On all my cars, always seems to make the engine feel 'smoother' 100ml per tank? Thought it was 60ml for 50 odd litres?
Increase in octane, reduces emissions, better mpg, cleans injectors with a Halfords Trade Card what's not too like?
Yep designed to fail and be replaced. Was talking to a local car enthusiast who has his own garage as well, owns a lot of classics and a few modern classics, his take was he would not have anything after 2002 as he felt that is when things went South.
People in the UK are obsessed by car badge...
R with full dealer service history, 32K miles.....high pressure fuel pump, coil packs, two new front springs and a new clutch, dual mass flywheel etc over 18months all under Peugeot Warranty (just renewed it today). Even without Main Dealer prices that would be a fair whack. Still love the car...
I have never had a new car!
So I'm used to maintenance and spending....goes with the territory, always something to do or sort, part of the hobby/passion.
All will be sorted by the dealer I'm sure.
Like any car they have their probs/issues and require £££'s to be spent, 10 years old and what mileage? Don't forget people chop in cars when they start to misbehave or require maintenance to keep them tip top and some owners don't have the passion you do and neglect them. At least it's going...
Bigger brakes give bigger surface area (larger pads and discs) so shorter stopping distances and greater heat dispersal. Using brakes on the road and then on track is chalk and cheese.
Guess they're both shite then as the quality/longevity of some of the components on the RCZ is truly shocking...
you got a strong price for the R, well done, good for other owner's as some have 'given' them away! I would want top dollar for mine too; but I'm keeping it.
The brakes are not a major issue given the discs can be bought from Peugeot for £670 and the pads are less than a hundred quid as Peugeot...
Just had new DMF, clutch and bearing kit etc fitted at Dealership under warranty so no cost thankfully as circa £1500+ at Main Dealers! Clutch was mooing/screeching on 1st/reverse at times usually on an incline under load, DMF was knocking slightly as well on tickover which ceased when clutch...
Cars imported into USA under 25 years old have to comply with Federal Vehicle Standards, RCZ was never sold there not sure it complies. Probably just a stealth anti Euro car import ruse to protect their industry. Cheaper option wait another 15 years for a 10 plate import.
