Thought the R had a forged/reinforced block and gb already, with mahle pistons etc. Reckon 300bhp would be ok as long as the extra heat could be accommodated by the 270ic; a good tuner should be able to ensure that.

on Facebook yesterday RCZ Group chap mapped his R in Belgium to 291bhp and 422nm his OE was 268bhp+ and 354 nm. As being debated above Peugeot stated the R had 267bhp, the one's I have seen dyno charts of are all around this figure. Not sure where 250bhp is from perhaps that was the RCZ race...

UK chap from Maidstone has a higher mileage R than RCZ-R had from Germany and it has been pretty reliable from his postings on here; and he still has it.

Sounds like the ballpark mileage they seem to go at......appalling quality control or the unit is just not up to the job/specs for direct injection

Interesting reading the list: no rocker cover gasket? some owners have been through several I believe due to leaks (can't of been replaced correctly), no turbo heat shield either or shocks/springs etc?
