Saw this at my local mechanic on a BMW which had not had an oil change for about 20k; cannot be good for the engine. Would not be surprised some of these MD's are not changing the oil as requested/stated
saved me the cost of 5 MoTs for the cars I only drive over Summer so well chuffed with that. Guess the MoT industry is lobbying hard to get their industry back pushing the safety angle to the max.
Thought the R had a forged/reinforced block and gb already, with mahle pistons etc. Reckon 300bhp would be ok as long as the extra heat could be accommodated by the 270ic; a good tuner should be able to ensure that.
on Facebook yesterday RCZ Group chap mapped his R in Belgium to 291bhp and 422nm his OE was 268bhp+ and 354 nm.
As being debated above Peugeot stated the R had 267bhp, the one's I have seen dyno charts of are all around this figure. Not sure where 250bhp is from perhaps that was the RCZ race...
We both have similar likes I have had a Coupe for the last 16years and recognise your name from FCCUK. I also have an R, bought last May done about 1100miles since and waiting for the weather to clear to do some more, fantastic drivers car. I think the R will drop a bit lower before it starts to...
Easy to do and from what I have personally experienced on here and with my car the Stealer's seem to charge and never change it out. Mine was bad and had apparently been changed 1500miles before. It was inserted incorrectly was not the carbon one, and the panel had not been put back properly, it...
UK chap from Maidstone has a higher mileage R than RCZ-R had from Germany and it has been pretty reliable from his postings on here; and he still has it.
Although not OE Alcon, Godspeed do replacement SS pistons for the R:
Peugeot RCZ-R Stainless Steel Pistons - Godspeed @£160
Your seal kit was a good price.
I found a place in Germany selling OE discs and what with the exchange rate the discs were coming in at around £400 each, only to...
The pink dust is from the tubo heat shield, I have recently had a brand new one fitted on my R as a Peugeot Technician happily used it as a place to take his weight as he reached into the bay and badly dented it. Only took 4 days for a new one to be sourced by Dealer and fitted which surprised...
A25 Sevenoaks Oldbury Woods Sunday 10 November 1030am ish; near Crown Point Black RCZR 15 Plate (I think) sounded nice as it went passed, we were out for a country walk in the woods.
Interesting reading the list: no rocker cover gasket? some owners have been through several I believe due to leaks (can't of been replaced correctly), no turbo heat shield either or shocks/springs etc?
