Where to find oil, transmission fluid... specifications

Oil is 0-30W or 5-30W low saps oil gearbox is supposed to be a lifetime fill so technically shouldn’t need changing but many including myself have, mine were ok but many have had a shock at the state of the old oil. It’s been recommended to put in Redline 75-80W in the manual box which is said...

    Whining noise

If you’ve had it only 3 weeks no matter how little warranty you got with the car the dealer has to sort it or give you your money back the car he sold you has to be fit for purpose which it obviously isn’t you legally have 6 months in which to return the car if it’s not fit. I had exactly the...

Yes does sound like it just needs a good long blast now and again, short journeys do tend to clog up the dpf and egr.

    Hello World!!

I know those bracing struts do a good job probably only really noticed on a track but I don’t think the standard car for the majority of even spirited road driving needs them and they are dog ugly! 😬

Fluctuating temp gauge - just had coolant leak repair

The temp sensor is the probable cause but There could be air in the system or the expansion tank cap may be failing which I know a few owners have encountered. There is a bleed screw to release any trapped air it’s a plastic cross headed screw up near the thermostat housing. Unscrew slightly if...

Engine Fault Warning - Turbo Coolant Pump?

Are you actually losing coolant? It’s a common issue for the coolant level sensor to fail on early cars you could replace it or just unplug it like some have but you’ll need to keep a regular check on your level

If you have the diesel then they’re pretty bulletproof units just keep up to a strict maintenance regime and you won’t go far wrong the only thing that seems to crop up is the end of the plastic dipstick breaking off which sounds like bad news but...
