Is it something that a bit of brake cleaner/contact cleaner will sort? Get in there and give it a good blast out, it may just be gunged up.
Everyone has brake cleaner laying around.
As mentioned, I recently serviced mine. Last year it was done on 6/2/20 at 28300 miles.
This year 27/2/21 at 34700 miles. My cars always get done yearly irrespective of mileage.
Service it yourself. It's easy enough.
I did my RCZ a few times, and have done my GT86 recently. Defintely not £545 worth of work.
The plugs on my car however, yeah that IS a £silly job at a dealer.
I once did 500 miles on a Monday after finishing a 12 hour nightshift..
To buy a Peugeot 407. Madness, obviously. Though it did have every conceivable option you could get on it, including full red leather interior..
My GT86 was more local, a mere 320 mile trip.
The brakes on my GT86 came from ECP for the pads, and CP4L for the discs. Not quite sure why one was cheaper for pads, the other discs, but there we go.
I think they both had a "40/50% off sale"
The VVT solenoids are fed by the oil system aren't they?
They only open/close if there is the prerequisite pressure.
I thought the cam and crank sensors were actual plug in electrical sensors.
Welcome. It's not my old one is it? 2011 200 GT in Shark grey with cream leather and sat nav and I'd fitted an RCZ R gear knob.
Apparently that had been exported. I've no idea where to though, so it could have ended up anywhere.
You could try a new crank sensor, seeing as how you've already fitted a cam sensor.
That's if clean oil doesn't sort it.
Then it's maybe time to check for damaged wiring/plugs.
