Be careful with polyurethane bushes. I've known people who have changed bushes and turned their car from something that was pleasant enough on a long trip, to something you want to set fire to after 10 minutes. Because the bushes introduced loads of NVH.
A popular swap for the GT86 is the rear...
On the GT 86 it is piped in to the driver's footwell.
Conveniently the spare 12v socket cover fits it perfectly. Some people completely remove them, but when it's as easy as capping the opening why bother? After all it's a reversible 30 second job.
I wonder if there's such an easy solution for...
The one thing I noticed when I was pie in the sky dreaming 4/5 years ago was a lot of R's come up when front brakes are due.
As if people go "HOW MUCH?!" and trade them in.
I don't understand why things like plugs get neglected on certain cars. I mean I did the ones on my RCZ, and they take literally 15 minutes. That probably included drinking a tea and yarning to my neighbour. I did the gearbox oil on the same day. Again, not hard.
I'm not sure they'll be that...
Thanks. Doesn't seem too bad. I might try my local for the next service. They're literally 5 minutes walk from home. Saves my laying on my back 😄
My plugs are due in around 20k.
How are you finding the servicing costs at a dealer for the GT86?
I have a 2013, and apart from a recall job its never been to my local main dealer for servicing. I've done the last 2 myself as my mechanic has recently retired.
I can't remember 100% the door switch arrangement on the RCZ, but it could be worth investigating that.
Stuck/stiff/dirty contact/broken, you get the drift.
Or, you could try the famous Peugeot panacea, a BSI reset. That's fixed many an odd issue in the past.
If I'd kept my RCZ I was planning on having a walnut blast done. Apparently the local MINI dealer did a decent job of it. I think at the time I was quoted around £300/£350.
Our local Peugeot dealer, who has subsequently lost the franchise was rather useless. Ok for ordering parts, 99% of the time.
Well thank you for your suggestion.
I think maybe you need to moderate yours. Or at least lay off the coffee/get more sleep.
I wasn't aware that being a mechanic was a mandatory part of being on a forum.
Besides the word forum means "a meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular...
