Hi all,
What has been peoples experience with warranty claims going to Peugeot UK Warranty dept?
Local dealer/service dept where the jacking point failure was found says their warranty man sent pics and description straight away - which was two weeks this coming friday (24th Oct)
So what kind...
Yep, I think you are right.
Like a sad person I sat in the car with key out of the ignition and the doors locked to check this.
After 3 or 4 mins the light on the USB pendrive stopped flashing - so I am happy to leave it in there now.
Neighbours must have thought I had fallen out with the...
Yeah, go for it.
I would not worry about the publicity. People don't come to this sites looking to buy houses after all.
As I live in the Midlands they ain't getting my business anyway :D
Hiya.
Transferred a number of albums to SanDisk pendrive.
These play fine via RT6.
Just noticed when I was going the to get out car that the red led on pendrive was still flashing despite RT6 off and key out of ignition.
Is this just residual current in the circuit, or will leaving pendrive...
Small point mate - its not just about the engine with the 'R'
I know I am biased but ................... drive one before you make that call.
Peace.
I have a RCZ-R and I've just checked.
Off side portion of undertray appears to be a tad lower than anything else and its about 115mm from the ground, best estimate.
Not going to be measuring tyre pressures, but as they are low profile anyway even if pressure was down a bit it wouldn't make that...
I think you'll find its set like this for a very good reason.
Lets say its icy and your nice new windscreen wipers are superglued to the screen.
You turn the key and......................
Most cars are set like the RCZ. Certainly my last two were - and for this very reason.
Having auto lights...
Maybe. Who knows.
Yes, oil leak sorted. May have been sump plug not tightened up enough when oil changed.
My main issue was discovered when oil leak last checked - totally collapsed jacking point, as per my recent posts.
Not a happy bunny.
Indeed.
I think its fair to say the Honeymoon is officially over.
Using the marriage analogy : I still love the wife, but I've fallen out big time with the in-laws. :helpme:
After the saga with my RCZ-R's collapsing/splitting jacking point (other thread) I am considering listening to many Tom Waits tracks, followed by the slow inevitable slide into an alcoholic stupor. :(
If you need me, I'll be in the corner sobbing like a baby.
Well I've ordered the camera, but not yet ordered the stepdown adapter.

Well, to be different, I've gone for a Mini 0801 http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2013/8/31/the-mini-0801-tiny-1080p-gps-car-camera-with-an-lcd-screen.html
Its the slightly older brother to the Mini 0803 that I posted a link to above, but its been superseded, so the price is less.
This was...
Pretty p'd off this morning.
Last week took my 7 month old RCZ-R in for a check on an oil leak (different thread) under warranty .
At the time (due to this thread and others) I said I had concerns with the jacking points and the sill splits - as per this thread.
They said they would use the...
Yep, I agree, the Marcus unit Techmoan reviewed does look overly big.
That's why I am intrigued by the unit tianorth has got. Two relatively small cameras and a head unit you can hide away.
But it really boils down to how well the unit record quality wise.
It really needs to be able to record...
Mate - you beat me to it. That is exactly the option I would be using
@Tianorth A very comprehensive post - Thanks So as aside from the fusebox option thornebt has listed, it looks like a workable solution to me.
I was toying with the Mobius or Mini 0803 option I listed from techmoans review...
