I reckon you could lower the cost slightly but down this way that price for parts and labour does not sound too bad to me.
If I had not bought a car with Extended Peugeot Warranty I would not be going anywhere near a Peugeot Dealership for any servicing as what I have experienced already...
On many vehicles (no idea of RCZ) the water pump is replaced when a belt service is undertaken given if it fails the very least that will happen is that the belts would need to be redone again given the location and need to remove components to get to the pump etc so incurring £££'s....at 29K...
Went out for a blat today and decided to turn off the 'Traction Control' over a 5+ mile blat and had a spirited drive on a set of twisties, the car definitely 'came alive' and it was cracking fun made me smile. Never had a car with TC so it felt really good fun to get the R a bit/a lot out of...
I 'see more' now I have one. I see more RCZ's than any of my other cars but that is I guess because they are relatively new in comparison; the RCZ has much the same build numbers as the GTV and Coupe..so low volume just under 70K RCZs
Autocar featured the R on Friday as a future collectable...
Booked my R in and having the oil, oil filter and plugs done for circa £280, only 2.5K miles since a full service when car was supplied by main dealer to previous owner; and I changed the oil when I bought her (1K ago). I will replace the cabin filter myself as the cost for the Dealer to supply...
That is not normal. Many causes when engine hot and at idle with a rev, but these two spring to mind: the valve stem seals, or the turbo charger oil seals etc
I would also consider changing your choice of mechanic.
I too get attached to my cars as they all have an individual 'personality' each with great features and also inherent flaws, each one is 'Marmite' and like the RCZ are not really mainstream; the R is the newest one and I am already attached and enjoying the drive, looks and performance (despite...
Pump and Coil pack 3 replaced and all is good again. They have identified that the aux belt idler/tensioner (not sure which/or if combined) is making a noise (I thought it was the clutch) so have apparently ordered a new one to be fitted.
Yes I asked them to consider it on the phone, they made no comment. I am not used to dealing with Main Dealer Service Dept's as the last car I bought with any Dealer involvement was in 2004, my VX (of which I have had no issues whatsover. I also believe that because it is a warranty job that is...
They have had it since Monday, but it was booked in for Tuesday. They called and said they had the pump but not a replacement pipe so today all fitted, they then undertook a road test and the EML has come back on so now looking at trying to sort it tomorrow morning......I am thinking perhaps the...
So am I right in thinking even though you can type your reg and select the dealer you want in the online Peugeot Service booking page it fails to take into account it is an R, so therefore an R cannot be booked online/on the fixed price service?
I guess the only option is to phone around the...
Tuesday 13/8 Pembury Road circa 1900hrs Silver '10 plate with quad exhaust and a Lion debadged rear, looked like a diesel and the exhausts were bouncing up and down!
Same evening '13 plate black parked in Sandhurst Road.
Have not seen many and then two in one evening.
Just had dealership on the blower and they said High Pressure Fuel Pump needs replacing and 'pipe' under extended warranty policy; got a Health Check sent through via text to website with video of my car, tyres, pads, discs.....all green; was thinking the car has only done 2K miles since...
Waiting for a full lift and it is then off to the Dealership. Local dealer had no slots for 2 weeks, one in Maidstone able to have a look tomorrow. RAC reckon the fuel pump is the culprit from the codes read and the symptoms.
