You have three more to choose from on Autotrader priced from £15.5 to £16.5K; red one with 20K looks nice, an Audi Main Dealer is selling one too! If you got the P&G one you would have a decent renewable Peugeot Warranty too for at least another 5 years...
There doesn't seem to be any real guidance on whether you can collect a car. That said the fine is £200; paid in 14 days is £100, hardly a deal breaker for owning an R with your apparent 'cheeky offer' accepted.......
Yep sounds like classic HPFP failure symptoms. Mine failed in exactly the same manner giving her some beans onto an A road, had a coil pack replaced too. Get a reader on her. Personally I would get it recovered to a garage if you are not changing the pump yourself.
You seem to have experienced almost everything that could and does frequently go wrong....just need the high pressure fuel pump as the cherry on the cake.
Have had mine 18months and it has been the most 'unreliable' car I have ever owned, all covered by warranty, and it seems just like most...
reckon it will go for another 100K at least...if it is the original turbo that is truly fantastic for such a small capacity engine with such relative big power, praise to Peugeot Sport. Wonder what OE base boost pressure is?
Month or so ago I bought a totally unused R wheel/tyre combo for £150 on eBay which had been an ex-R owner's spare. Single wheels come up a fair bit on the 'bay
Get the discs from Fish Bros Dealership £670 del and a set of pads between £50-200. With you or an independent to fit.
For info Peugeot usually charge circa £300 for front pads. They are OE TRW and these can be found for sub £100 or use another make, the Alcon brakes on the front of the RCZR...
My MG TF had the same symtoms the coolant was boiling over at operating temps, it was also leaking form the block/gasket (difficult to see where from). Took the Head off and could see that Exhaust gases were leaking into the coolant. That's why I asked if the coolant was boiling in the resevoir...
My maths
Main Dealer supplied my car to previous owner for £16K 6months before I purchased it.
£16K minus £12K equals £4K
£12K plus £2K only equals £14K
White R recently sold for £15K
3 now currently for sale £16K+
I think a £4K increase being asked now is a big leap for a Peugeot RCZR that...
Head Gasket Failure. Sniff Test is a chemical (kit) that can identify exhaust gases in the coolant. Not 100% but an indication.
Have you connected a reader to see if there are any codes stored?
I was thinking HGF, sniff test? I have a couple of cars with K series so know about HGF's!
Oil still nice and thin and clear-ish.....or thicker and gloopy when you rub it between your thumbs?
Without the doom in June post you state car got to 120 degrees, for me that would get me worried.
I just drove to local dealer to have a look on way back from food shopping, forgot about Covid and Lockdown in my excitement to see one in the flesh they were closed to the public. They did not have one on display when I looked in, had a few Supra's though. This would be a car used pretty...
Mine has increased by 4K since I purchased it based on the recent sales. The prices were £10-13k when I was looking in May 2019; £13-16 now that is a big jump. You made similar comments to the owner that was selling the white R recently on eBay and that actually went for strong money circa £15K...
