What TT have you bought?
To be honest I wouldn't want two of the same cars on the drive. Although the R is different to the other RCZs, it would still be familiar for most things.
As well as the R I've got a Volvo V60 B6. They are very different.
What else are you claiming for?
That's handy with the warranty for the calipers. It's a really bad design flaw they should require to fix. Brake calipers should last a long time without repair or replacement so often.
The R is my daily.
I had been doing a lot of shorter journeys the previous couple of years and my timing chain needed done at 60,000 miles. The car has never used a drop of oil, always at max, and still didn't last. I think the short trips didn't help.
We had a Mini Clubman S with a
variant of...
Timing chain will be around £800 depending on the garage hourly rate.
Genuine discs are about £750 for Peugeot Parts direct.
EBC Yellowstuff pads are £120.
The other issue you will face is the pistons in the brake calipers will have corroded and the pistons will need replaced with new...
Warped discs or sticky pistons would be my guess.
A lot of the Rs that come up for sale need the brakes fixed. I think that is the reason for many owners selling.
It does seem strange that more low mileage cars have come to the market in recent months. It could be they are trying to cash in...
The white one does look nice. He's knocked £500 off the price.
The grey lines on the wheel? I'm not sure what has happened there. Something funny gone on with the camera? The image from further away I can't see them.
That car has been on sale for a while. I can't remember if it was a dealer or a private sale before.
Two cars have been removed today and a new one added. The low mileage higher priced cars are still there.
It must have been removed in the last hour.
It was the grey one that was only on sale for a couple of days. I think it was 72,000 miles and up for £11,995.
When I first started looking sometimes on Autotrader there would be none available. Often it was 3 or 4 up for sale and they usually sold fast. It looked like buyers were waiting for cars to come up.
We are up to 14 on Autotrader alone and some have been up for sale for months. It's the...
Another one on Autotrader at over £20,000. Judging by the silver roof rails that was the car up for sale on ebay for ages for £15,000-£16,000.
One thing I do notice are the wheels have been refurbished far too often. They've been faced off so much the recessed part of the wheel where the R is...
I'm glad she is ok. That must have been really scary to be sent into a spin and crash at motorway speeds.
Drivers that get behind the wheel under the influence boil my blood. They'll convince themselves they are ok, but they keep doing things like this.
