Another low mileage car has popped up on AutoTrader. It still has the original rear tyres on. They must be like plastic after 10 years.
Good photographs to prove the full service history, but I like when an owner tells more about the car and gives a genuine description. The owner has added...
The underside of the bonnet and the door hinges are grey.
It looks a clean car. The brakes look recent and under the bonnet looks rust free too.
Underneath the wrap might be a good car. They have obviously spent a lot on the wrap. Removing the wrap might unearth a few scratches from the...
That's a different R that has come up on AutoTrader today.
Is that a wrap? It's not normal to see the wrap covering all the door jambs. Although if it was paint, they would surely paint the inside of the bonnet?
Read some of the reviews of that dealer. You're lucky if they fix dangerous things.
Coil springs do break, but to have both springs, both top mounts, and both bearings all damaged or broken suggests suggests something bad has happened. That's not normal.
The owner has passed that car on weeks...
It looks like the 15 plate car did come through the auctions.
The service light and warning is on.
The last MOT looks a little concerning. Failure for both front springs broken and both MacPherson strut mountings damaged and seriously weakened. Top mount bearings damaged too. Sounds like...
The vast majority of viewers probably don't realise the photos are from the auction house. Some directly use the auction house pictures, some just take the images and use a different fake background.
I had an account with BCA just to see cars coming up. They've now made it trade only accounts...
There is a 2015 car with 17,500 miles on AutoTrader now. Photos not ready.
The dealer's advert says they got it from a main dealer who took the car in part exchange. Looking at some of their other adverts, with the same description of where the car was sourced, the photos are from British...
He did. That's why I said it would be interesting to drive an R with Cup tyres on.
It would make more advantage of the car in the correct conditions, just not very sensible for normal road usage.
I am surprised there aren't more crashes than there is. Driving standards are terrible and that's people in performance cars that think they can drive.
Also the amount of people that are going there to drive at maximum speed and won't wear any safety gear.
That looked quick. These videos always show how many drivers go on track and aren't the best of drivers.
It would be interesting to drive an R on Cup tyres in the correct conditions.
The seats in the R are comfortable with good support. They are good seats. They aren't anything like a racing car seat.
If you sit too far back from the wheel with straighter arms you don't have full control of the car.

This website shows how many cars are registered on the road and how many are SORN. SORN means Statutory Off Road Notification.
You would have to do your sums to add all the RCZ versions together to see how many were registered, currently in use, or no longer in...
18" wheels will give a better ride than 19" wheels.
Tyres do make a difference. I find Goodyear Asymmetric tyres have a softer sidewall than other tyres and give a smoother ride. I've had tyres with 92 and 96 load and the 92 load are also noticeably smoother.
The car had been advertised on Pistonheads. If he's reducing the price and paying for an additional advert on AutoTrader it looks like he's not getting much interest.
Car prices are coming back down after the coronavirus spike, but the R is continuing to fall at a faster rate.
A couple of...
It looks good, but he will struggle to get that money for it.
Probably not best to advertise you have the chance to buy a better R. I'd automatically be trying to find the other car.
The sum of the parts will be worth far more that a partly dismantled car.
Although a brand new member with a lot of parts to sell might struggle to gain confidence with buyers.
