    Avg miles per litre

It all depends how you drive. I think that Auto has a real world average of 35mpg. Using 35mpg. There are 4.55 litres in a gallon. 35÷4.55=7.7 miles per litre. 145÷7.7=18.8 litres of fuel required. Taking petrol at £1.45 per litre. 1.45×18.8=£27.26

RCZ possible write off - advice ?

The cost of car repairs has gone through the roof. You'll probably find that the time they factor in repairs and the cost of a hire car they'll write your car off. You do get the option of buying the car back if you think you can repair it on a budget. It'll still be logged as a write off...

    Track Day

When you drive on a track the heat going through the tyres increases the pressure. Don't increase the pressures beforehand.

    Got my R now

Welcome along. Post some pictures of your new car. I've not had issues with the clutch slipping.

It would need to be cheap to make it worth putting it back on the road. It looks like it needs a lot of work. When you hear it's had engine issues before, and the engine bay looks untidy with the wrong parts, it sounds like a big risk.

It does say it's reserved. The AutoTrader advert also said it was reserved before the advert was removed.

The orange car has gone. The white car with the poor wheels has gone. @Claret63 I see you've taken a deposit. I hope the sale goes well.

It has been reserved a number of times, so it's something in person putting them off. The price and mileage are known. It was £9895 until last week. Odd to put the price up when it hadn't sold for ages. It looked really clean on the Cazoo photos. Full service history, in very good condition...

The white one is back up again. That's now a total of 5.5 months it has been up for sale. It has been for under £10,000 for most of that time. Looking back at this thread the buyer on here didn't get the car and there was no heating. The water pump and thermostat needed replaced. It looked...

Are you not getting much interest? The thing with brakes is they are wear and tear. It is a bill that is going to come sooner or later. I don't think a normal buyer is going to pay a big premium for newer brakes. I also think some buyers buy an R without knowing the cost and issues with the...

Cazoo are in administration. The white R was with Cazoo a while ago. It'll be in this thread I think.

I bought my R over 5 years ago. In that time it has always been the cheap cars that sell first. Price is more important than condition. The white car was on sale for £9895 for a while, but they raised the price to £10,200 days before it was removed from AutoTrader. It was the same car Cazoo...

Agreed that is also a real issue. It is often hard to know for sure a service history is genuine. There is a lot of people putting fake stamps in their book. With GDPR rules car dealers often bin all receipts that have identification on them. It is the fake MOT that are the biggest concern...

I think the scale of this problem is getting worse than ever. It is something that needs serious attention.

You can't tell what anyone is really paying. There will always be haggling and especially for cars that have been on sale for a while. The price paid would still be clear. The value of the trade in would be deducted.

There was a red car for sale privately recently with 29,000 miles. It was advertised at £14,500 and didn't sell. It then went back to Alpha cars and they advertised it for £15,995 and it has sold quickly. I'm surprised it passed an MOT when there is a fault for automatic headlamp adjustment. I...

I think we will see the numbers of R dropping over the next year. Oddly the numbers went up in 2023 Q4. I assume some cars were neither taxed or SORN before. There is also a car registered in 2017 that wasn't listed previously. There are quite a lot of R needing lots of work coming up now...

Some people have had good experiences and some have had bad. Forums are usually the worst place to judge as most people sign up when they are having problems. As the cars are getting older and cheaper maintenance is neglected leading to issues.

The white car is a private seller asking £14,500 for a 2015 car with 21,500 miles. We went through a stage of a lot of cheaper, but none of them looking in good condition, Rs up for sale. There was a number of cars all below £10,000. In recent weeks a number of more expensive cars have come...
